25.01.2022 Logans commercial radio stations Rebel 90.5 FM and the Breeze 92.1 FM has teamed up with Logans online newspaper, MY NEWS FEED to announce Light Up Logan for 2020. This is a Christmas Lights promotion for the city that kicks off at the end of October 2020. Group General Manager, Cheryl Jowitt said yesterday that after the events of 2020, it was time to put some sparkle back into our lives in the run-up to Christmas. We are so happy to have combined with Mynewsfeed.com.au ...to launch this amazing competition. Winners of Light Up Logan will get to share in over $10 000 in cash and prizes in 5 categories. The competition is open to both business and residential entries and multiple entries are permitted. Ms Jowitt said, This year we have added a street or group category that can see local streets enter together as well as individually. Were encouraging business or residents in an area to light their street and enter up to 10 participants in this category. The categories include residential, acreage, business, community, and group entry. First prize for each category is $1000. More details about the competition will be announced on My News Feed Logan when it launches on the 24th of September 2020. Entries will be online and voting will be open from December 2020. 22.01.2022 Work will begin this month on a community-inspired adventure playground as part of Logan City Councils upgrade of the Logan Village Green. The $1.6 million upgrade follows extensive community engagement including a Place to Play event last year that focused on engaging children, including school captains from the local State School, to assist in providing ideas for the design of the playground. Features of the playground include a birds nest play structure, trampolines, a... flying fox, totem poles with ropes and a dry creek bed flanked by timber steppers and balance beams. Other works in the Village Green upgrade include a small amphitheatre, a shelter and seating, a barbecue, an upgraded water bubbler, additional lighting and signage and an avenue of large trees. A safety camera is already installed in the area, which is monitored 24/7. Locals and visitors have always loved spending time in the Village Green and this upgrade will further enhance those enjoyable times. See more

They are currently doing construction on phase 2 of the Temple due to open in roughly May next year. In the meantime you can still enjoy the beautiful gardens and peaceful areas the temple provides.
