17.01.2022 What an amazing start to the weekend. Our Miss LuLu Higgs @lucyfayehiggs opened the whole season @fydcomps and received HM’s for her Contemporary and Jazz solos in HUGE sections. 14.01.2022 !!Exciting Announcement!! Wicked Dance Works has had a massive facelift and will no longer be operating as a ‘typical’ dance studio. Our entire focus on what we provide has taken a huge shift! We cannot wait to share our new business model with you! Miss Lou started Wicked Dance Works back in 2013 with just 15 students! Miss Lou’s drive and determination seen Wicked Dance Works receive a business award at the 2014 Peel Chamber of Commerce Business Awards and was a fin...alist in the WA Regional Small Business Awards. Soon after this success, Louisa signed a lease for a new premises! The community was super excited about the opening, the studio exploded and grew to over 400 students in a matter of months! Wicked Dance Works has dominated as the Peel Regions premier performing arts training facility ever since. Over the past six years Wicked Dance Works has been well known for its Elite Competition Team who won 19 National Titles competing against some of the best studios in the country as well as other prestigious awards at international dance competitions KAR, Starpower and Rainbow. In 2018 Miss Lou gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Since then she has decided to take Wicked in a whole new direction to help accomodate her new role as a mum. We are very grateful and proud of Louisa for providing our community with an amazing space for students of all ages to grow in to amazing confident performers. Wicked Dance Works will always be a part of Mandurah’s Performing Arts history and will be held dearly to the many that attended classes with us. While we are very sad to be closing the doors to such an amazing Performing Arts Studio we are very excited for the new direction we will be taking. What’s new at Wicked? We are super excited to announce that our Mandurah branch will still be operating a number of services within the community including: - Regular or one off Primary & High School workshops - Free community dance workshops - Dance Events to raise money for local charities* - Competition Choreography presented by award winning Choreographer Louisa Brown for Hip Hop soloists, Duo/Trio’s and Crews. *Info on our first charity event will be released soon! More Exciting News Wicked Dance Works is going Interstate!! Louisa will be spreading Wicked vibes across Australia by delivering top quality dance workshops to regional communities in New South Wales and Queensland starting in Term 3 2019! With acrobats, skaters, dancers, circus performers and musicians unite to discover the special bonds found in brotherhood and the kinship this creates. Airborne has been inspired by a community need to embrace and celebrate our youth in particular young men. It is very proud to present a whole cast of locally born senior and junior artists.
