22.01.2022 Such amazing kiwi Riesling. I wanted to dislike it and be loyal to my South Australian brethren but I just couldn’t help falling in love with it. The extra bit of residual sugar helps lift the lemon/lime acid to more lemon curd mouth feel. Textural, energetic, such a great wine. A shame that not much of it makes it over the ditch. @negociantsaustralia @negociantsnz @valliwine

22.01.2022 Straight aged Barossa Semillon. About as Australian as heading to Bali for a cheeky holiday. Some of my friends turn their noses up when I talk about Semillon but I still aim to bring them around slowly. This bad boy from the Barossa is 12 years old now, full of lanolin, Granny Smith Apple acidity, interesting texture and still a good bit of zip. I’m really glad I held onto a few of these. #rockford #semillon

22.01.2022 When it’s 35 degrees on Xmas Day, it feels like Savvy Blanc is almost obligatory. And if you’re going to do Savvy, this has to be one of the best. All wines were outstanding however we were blown away with how the @scoutwines Chardonnay performed against such strong competition. Highly reccomend all the wines but especially the scout. 16.01.2022 I don’t often drink sparkling red , but when I do I drink quality. This has me thinking I should drink sparkling Shiraz more often. Lots of bright primary fruit but also interesting undergrowth and tannin structure that really makes you stop and take note. It might be unpopular to say but I’d have this over Rockford black Shiraz anyday. #leasingham

11.01.2022 This old boy was holding up pretty well last night just like everything else from 1984 . The tertiary flavors have certainly developed, however it is still well balanced, some fruit remains, the tannins have softened to make this still very enjoyable. 1984 was quite horrid in all wine regions, the good cabernets from the Coonawarra seem to be the only things worth having a punt on. @wynnscoonawarra #johnriddoch

The generous amount of reserve wine makes this beast super complex but it’s also super fresh, nose of fresh baked white bread, lemon and lime acidity with a more toast and almond flavor hiding beneath. the $5AUD corkage @dandelioncanggu has been a nice surprise too. The waitress had never opened champagne before so naturally we poured her a glass. #canggu #dandelioncanggu #bali

06.01.2022 Australia are smashing rose out of the park right now. After a perfect summers day this Crudo rose I believe is a Nebbiolo / Syrah blend, well it has been in the past. Ruby grapefruit, orange and Meyer lemon sweetness. Really nice mouthfeel, little bit of spice. Everything in its right place. Hunt it down while you still can.
