18.01.2022 "Individually, whether as performers or as listeners, we seek out music that gives us joy, which lifts our spirits and gives us solace." We were delighted to receive a message of support from Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales and Mr. Dennis Wilson, in their role as Patrons for the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums.

16.01.2022 Presenting our combined community bands (after a two week crash-course in guitar/ukulele) playing ROMANO (Trad. / Arr. Thomas König). Due to Covid19 restrictions, wind and brass instruments could not be included in Con ensembles for much of term 3. In an effort to keep playing music together, many of the wind and brass players have temporarily taken up a non-wind instrument. To create this video, four separate community ensembles were recorded during their regular weekly rehearsal timeslot, and joined together in post-production. A conductor and two head-phone wearing members of the band kept the ensembles in sync via a ‘click-track’. Featuring solos by David Curtis and Patrick McGivern.

12.01.2022 This coming Friday Dec 4th at Wollongong Town Hall I'm presenting a SUPER GROUP of musicians celebrating the diversity and creativity of Australian music. This ...will be a night to remember, with a genre-crossing combination of youth and experience. Rising stars guitarist Hilary Geddes, trumpeter Tom Avgenicos with drummer Laurence Pike & saxophonist Matt Keegan plus myself playing Wollongong Town Hall's pipe organ & grand piano. A rare concert for adventurous music lovers. See more
