21.01.2022 ANZAC DAY | A trip down memory lane We dusted off our history books in the lead up to ANZAC Day 2020. Here are a few moments in time from Canning's ANZAC Day... service, captured through the lens over the years. Some of Canning's most historical moments such as these are a small way in which we can commemorate and remember those who have fallen and whom continue to serve our great nation. Also don't forget to RSVP to Driveway at Dawn - ANZAC Day 2020 And if you're looking to show your support in other ways, you can consider donating to the RSLWA or Legacy WA: www.rslwa.org.au/donate | portal.legacyonline.com.au/pages/donation.aspx #ANZACDay2020 #cityofcanning #CanningANZAC #RSL #LegacyWA #lestweforget #wewillrememberthem

13.01.2022 Glad we have been able to shed some light on this image...... and share a little more about the Canning of years gone by. The drapery was located on the corner of Albany Highway & Greenfield Street - Situated on the site where clark rubber is today. This photo is circa early 1950s. The building was demolished in the early 1980's. Mrs Headling ran the drapery and lived at the house at the rear.
