22.01.2022 Day 4 - Bundaberg tour highlight... The Mon Repos Turtle Centre supports the largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland and has the most significant loggerhead turtle nesting population in the South Pacific region. Today, students have a unique opportunity to explore Turtle Tales (Turtle Centre) to understand the lives of marine turtles, researchers and rangers, and the conservation work being done to ensure the survival of the endangered loggerhead turtle.

21.01.2022 Students on their Bundaberg tour enjoyed a full day exploring the natural beauty of Musgrove Island. Activities included snorkelling, a glass-bottom boat tour and a guided walking tour of the island to learn its cultural, scientific and educational significance.

19.01.2022 Our staff have been making a conscious effort to go exploring around their local areas (within restrictions) this Steptober as part of the 10,000 Steps challenge. In 3 weeks, we clocked over 4.5 million steps, walking our way (virtually) through Queensland, passing through Gympie before reaching the Gold Coast and travelling north through Bundaberg and back to Rockhampton - where the 10,000 Steps project was born 10,000 Steps was developed by physical activity researchers at CQUniversity Australia in 2001 and funded by Queensland Health and aims to increase the day-to-day activity of Australians. The competition was fierce amongst the team and we’re all looking forward to the next challenge! (but not too soon because we’re all exhausted!)
