I love The Macarthur Ballet and Dance Studio because of the teachers and all of my peers. 25.01.2022 Our Pre-Primary and Primary Ballet classes are designed for children aged between the ages of 5-7 years. These classes help to develop students physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality using a range of sounds and musical styles. These classes are a great introduction to The Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus. Physical awareness is developed through concepts of posture, shapes, space, partnering and group dancing. Through movement, children develop their b...odies, their confidence and their ability to communicate and express. This ultimately helps with the development of body coordination, strength, and flexibility. Creative tasks to develop the imagination will be incorporated; such as dancing to a theme or story with focus on developing self-confidence, responsibility and musical awareness. I enjoy learning new things, constantly pushing myself to improve across multiple genres and grow not only as a dancer but an artist through my choreography. 06.01.2022 I dance because I enjoy it a lot, its a place where I can take out all my stress and just have fun. One of the best parts about dancing is I become stronger every single time I step into the studio. I make sure Im always trying my hardest and I really enjoy that feeling when Ive successfully achieved one of my goals. 05.01.2022 We are excited to announce that Suzi Ryan will be joining our faculty in Term 3. Suzi is a qualified Barre Body Certified Instructor and has gained her Professional Dancers Postgraduate Teaching Certificate with The Royal Academy of Dance. Suzi began her early dance training at Carolyn Maddens School of Dance before receiving a full scholarship to study under the directorship of John Byrne at SCECGS Redlands. During her time at SCECGS Redlands Suzi was awarded the Redlands... Medal for Excellence in Classical Ballet and was accepted into the Interstate Associate program at The Australian Ballet School. In 2000 Suzi was invited to join the Australian Ballet School full time to undergo three years of intensive fulltime training. During her time at the School Suzi performed in a number of the classics including Auroras Wedding, Nutcracker, Florestin Pas De Trois and with The Australian Ballet Dancers Company in Swan Lake, Symphony in D and Simone Cliffords Pointe-Counter-Pointe. Suzi graduated from The Australian Ballet School with an Advanced Diploma of Dance and has worked professionally with leading dance companies both in Australia and the United States. Suzi danced in Opera Australias national tour of Aida directed by Graeme Murphy as well as Bruce Beresfords Die Torte Stadt. Most recently appeared in Opera Australias production of Onegin in association with Covent Garden, London. Suzi was featured in the film Maos Last Dancer and was the body double in the hit ABC TV series Dance Academy. We look forward to having her in the studio and sharing her expertise with all of our beautiful ballerinas.
