23.01.2022 Hi All. Just a look at what I painted up last night. I really like the look of my brown trout pattern as the colors really pop under the clear coat. The main 5... lures are 100mm, full through wire with a great action and run at about a metre deep. The other 1 is for a charity auction on another FB lure making page and is 110mm with full through wire and swims to half a metre. These are now ready for 3 to 4 coats of epoxy and glitter bling. 19.01.2022 First repair of the day, owner spun the brass insert in the hull for the front handle, I won't lie, it was a bastard to get out as it's the first one done at Yakdoc. After removing the insert, a 5 mm plug of plastic was shaped then beveled and tacked in the hole before welding in place,. A longer bolt with a big mudguard style stainless steel washer and nyloc nut will be fitted on the inside.

15.01.2022 A badly worn flat spot on the keel,filled with auto body filler on the outside,grey silicon on the inside then painted, a trifecta of no no's, after cutting back to sold plastic and removing the crud this old girl is seaworthy again

13.01.2022 This kayak was been fitted out with PVC pipe that's been heated and flared out by being pushed over an empty beer stubby, no beer was harmed in this process as it was drunk first pipes are cable tied in and provide provision for 4 rods and a light, or 3 rods, net and light etc etc, then the whole crate secured with occy straps to the hull via deck hoops. This is a cheap diy that's easy to make and becomes a very handy piece of equipment.
