25.01.2022 Latest update Friday, November 20, 2020 Bowls SA staff back in the office Bowls SA would like to inform its member associations, clubs and players that as a result of today’s latest update from the South Australian Government, its staff will be back in the office (583A Anzac Highway, Glenelg North, 5045) on Monday.... The regular office opening hours of 9:30am-4pm will resume each day, with staff available to answer phone calls and reply to emails. With this in mind, all lawn bowls activity within South Australia remains postponed. All Bowls SA events and the SA Super League remain postponed. Bowls SA will endeavor to inform its members of any updates regarding events, any possible resumption of play or trainings, along with any other additional information as soon as possible. Bowls SA encourages its member associations, club and players, along with the rest of the South Australian public, to continue to follow updated restrictions and guidelines from the State Government and to remember social distancing and hygiene protocols at all times. 22.01.2022 OLD INFO. That still stands at present. Monday, November 16, 4pm MEDIA RELEASE: All bowls activity cease play... Following the announcement from the State Government this afternoon, all lawn bowls activity will cease immediately in South Australia until further notice. This is part of the restriction which will see all competitive sport and training (indoor and outdoor) cancelled for the next two weeks as of midnight tonight. Bowls SA is currently working with the State Government to help get a handle on the situation. We will provide more information to Bowls SA member associations, clubs, players and stakeholders as it comes to hand. Until that time, we urge all South Australians to follow all the guidelines and restrictions announced by the State Government this afternoon to help contain the situation.

22.01.2022 Good afternoon all, As per today’s announcement from the South Australian Government, community sport can resume under modified plans to limit potential virus spread, as of midnight tonight. With this in mind, there are still strict social distancing and health restrictions and guidelines in place.... Density requirements of 1 per 4 square metres will remain for indoor activity, but outdoor activity can be 1 per 2 square metres. Mandatory for all public activities (licenced venues) with a COVID-Safe plan to display their QR code from Tuesday 1 December. When members arrive at your venue, they can check in by scanning the QR code using their mobile smart phone. A hard copy (paper) contracting tracing registration log is available to download click here and must be made available for members who don’t have a mobile smart phone. Member clubs MUST have a COVID-safe plan and following the directions within the plan dated the 1st of December 2020. If you have not completed a COVID-Safe Plan, do not have this available at your premises, or do not comply with current Directions, you can be fined up to $5,000. SA Health announced anyone who has visited the below locations during the listed times should seek testing immediately, even if you do not have any symptoms, and isolate until you get your results. 19.01.2022 No practice this Monday morning. Restrictions are expected to be lifted on Tuesday 1st December. We will know a lot more then and update you when we know more in relation Pennants moving forward. We anticipate normal Monday practice will resume on 7th December.

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Its time for some of our Open Gender pre-season plans to begin to take shape. Firstly, we have the issue of this dreaded virus to consider. We need to provide you with a safe environment to train and get ready for the season. With that in mind we will be observing COVID19 rules at all training sessions this season. This involves marking your name on a sheet in the glass cabinet before the training session you are attending. Why? Because we need to know prio...r to sessions how many players are turning up at the venue so we can plan accordingly. No name on sheet,- can't attend organised sessions. We will also require you to fill in an attendance list on the day with a name & contact number (contact tracing purposes) the coaches will retain those sheets for record purposes. Further, we will be observing the 1.5m distancing during the sessions. That will mean no more than 4 players per rink, who will remain 1.5m apart. In all 24 players per green maximum. Attendees will be sanitising playing equipment at the end of sessions and we will be requiring hand washing as well. We know you will co-operate with the requirements and make things easy as this will be the norm for awhile yet. Our first session will be August 31st at 0930am till 11am. Further sessions will be advertised as we move forward. Please arrive a little earlier to fill out the attendance sheet. Following a mid-season break, the program is set to resume from Sunday, October 25, the day after the AFL Grand Final, through to December 20, the Sunday before Christmas.... The show will air nationally on 7two from each Sunday at 2.30pm, and will be replayed the following Saturday from 12.00pm. However, due to an existing scheduling clash, the first episode will be shown at 2.00pm in the Sydney market on October 25. Additionally, the episodes will be televised on Fox Sports and Kayo each Tuesday at 5.30pm from October 27. The nine episodes remaining for this season will showcase the World Bowls Challenge event, where the BCiB Australian Jackaroos squared off against the might of the world, in a composite team featuring 10 of the world’s best players from across the globe, staged at Moama Bowling Club. Bowls Australia encourages the bowls community to tune in to the coverage, to support bowls on free-to-air television and pay-TV.

06.01.2022 From Bowls SA: Monday, November 16, 4pm MEDIA RELEASE: All bowls activity cease play... Following the announcement from the State Government this afternoon, all lawn bowls activity will cease immediately in South Australia until further notice. This is part of the restriction which will see all competitive sport and training (indoor and outdoor) cancelled for the next two weeks as of midnight tonight. Bowls SA is currently working with the State Government to help get a handle on the situation. We will provide more information to Bowls SA member associations, clubs, players and stakeholders as it comes to hand. Until that time, we urge all South Australians to follow all the guidelines and restrictions announced by the State Government this afternoon to help contain the situation.

Not sure how many teams from Willunga will attend as yet. Will be decided closer to the date. All players will get a game on the day.... Open Gender Training starts Monday 31st August. There will be no games on October Long Weekend.

04.01.2022 The latest from Bowls SA. A review will take place early next week and all going well restrictions may be eased. "Roll ups are permissible according to authorities as a social and recreational activity. It is crucial that Bowls SA emphasise if authorities see otherwise with things such as competitions, tournaments or even formal training, they have advised that they will close the activity down. Members, are welcome to have a roll up, but it is recommended you follow these g...uidelines: Maximum of 10 bowlers per green up to 50 in total on greens Clean mats and jacks before and after use. Spray and/or wipe with disinfectant If rolling up in a group one person only to handle jacks and mats Wash/disinfect hands before and after practice. If using club bowls wash/disinfect bowls before and after use There is no provision yet to play organised tournaments club or others or to get back to pennant competition."

04.01.2022 CONDITIONS OF PLAY - PENNANTS All clubs to lodge a copy of their current COVID-Safe Plan with the GSBA. Failure to do so means that Bowling Club will remain closed and no pennant matches can be played at that venue. CONDITIONS ON THE PLAN MUST BE ADHERED TO. CAR POOLING SA Health has advised that car pooling is safe for transport of bowlers to a venue. [It remains the bowler’s choice whether they take part in car pooling]. Players should wear a mask if unsure. COVID MARSHA...LLS Must be in place and be identified on the day. No Marshall = no play. ON THE GREEN CLUBS ARE TO KEEP A REGISTER of all people frequenting the Bowling Club on each Pennant Day. To assist clubs, the GSBA ask that Side Managers for each visiting team provide the host Club with a written list of their players and contact details (phone number)to be attached to the Club’s Register. START TIMES are to be staggered. DIVSIONS 5 & 6 trial ends to start at 12.45, game to start at 1 pm; DIVISIONS 3 & 4 trial ends to start at 1 pm , game to start at 1.15 pm; DIVISION 1 & 2 trial ends to start at 1.15 pm, game to start at 1.30 pm. Hand sanitisers, etc. to be available in the clubrooms and on the greens. Only the leads are to touch the Jacks and Mats except the Skips who touch as necessary. Players are not to pick up another bowlers bowls unless necessary at the head. The afternoon break to be taken at 2.15 pm for Divisions 5 & 6; at 2.30 pm for Divisions 3 & 4;for Divisions 1 & 2 at 2.45pm so as to relieve congestion in the toilets and in the clubhouse. Home sides to place their bowling bags at the opposite end of the green to the host bowlers.
