25.01.2022 This week at Young Academics Early Learning Centre we celebrated Dental Week The children engaged in various experiences to help build their knowledge in dental health and hygiene. We have been teaching children the importance of brushing daily, in the morning and in the evening, and encourage all parents/guardians to continue to foster this.

In light of recent restrictions, play dough is now of one-time-only use, and if it helps contribute to healthy recoveries, were all in! ... We thank a very dear YA mother, Erika, who is also a nurse at The Childrens Hospital, and helped with the delivery.

In support of Childrens Medical Research Institutes efforts, this campaigns purpose is to help find a cure for genetic diseases. 17.01.2022 Winter Wonderland at Young Academics Early Learning Centre #RouseHill Our preschoolers have been showing an immense interest in winter-themed crafty experiences, creating their own masterpieces to add to our already wonderful display. To further extend on their learning, the children were encouraged to make their very own snowman. We proudly encourage children to learn about sustainability to further develop on their conceptual knowledge of the importance of the natural environment around them. To encourage childrens learning in recycling and reusing materials, we used shredded paper to create our crafts.

Exploring autonomy as we develop self-help skills, we worked on our ability to pour water from a jug, building on fine and gross motor skills. "It's heavy!" Micah giggled, as they took great pride in mastering this activity, working together to lift, grip and pour.

During this experience, the toddlers were able to further develop their understanding and awareness towards farm animals, as well as use their imagination and fine motor skills.

09.01.2022 This week at Young Academics Early Learning Centre #Toongabbie, our little ones are enjoying the beauty of the natural environment. As the National Quality Framework explains, the way the environment is designed, equipped and organised determines the way that the space and resources are used to maximise childrens engagement and level of positive experiences, as well as build inclusive relationships. Miss Chaya and the little ones set up salt dough using different natural ite...ms that the toddlers collected including sticks, bark, leaves, shells and some beautifully coloured stones. They were then free to create whatever they liked - from beaches and barbecues to spiders and love hearts. See more

Our preschoolers went fishing for the kind of fish that had a letter written on it . They then listed items that also started with the letter that they caught. The kids loved this exercise!

01.01.2022 5,4,3,2,1... blast off! This week at Young Academics Early Learning Centre #Elderslie, our preschoolers enjoyed an outer space experience, posing as astronauts walking on the moon. All dressed up and ready to go, our little astronauts put their gross motor skills to the test as they manoeuvred their way around the astronaut training course.... This encouraged balance and stability, whole body co-ordination, spatial awareness, weight shift and weight bearing and fostered the development of muscle strength.
