19.01.2022 The Northern Lights are one of the phenomena we all want to see. The emotional measurement went to the highest scale at seeing the Northern Lights. To experien...ce the Northern Lights as they shine in their most beautiful, it takes considerable patience to find right moment. But it is worth it many times over. From the sun constantly emits a so-called solar wind, which is a stream of charged particles. As the wind approaches the earth, the earth's magnetic field repels it except around the magnetic poles. There, some of the particles escape into the magnetic field. When the particles collide with the Earth's atmosphere, at an altitude of about 100-250 km, molecules and atoms in the envelope are stimulated and they emit visible light which we call the northern or southern light. The colors we most often see are green and red-purple, but they come from stimulated oxygen on the one hand and stimulated nitrogen or nitrogen on the other. Enjoy the picture See more
