20.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Dear College Community - as you will be aware a number of changes came into effect this evening for QLD. Please see below some information for us at GCC. - Our school remains open for students.... - Any child or adult who has been in the Greater Brisbane Area since March 20 2021 is required to self isolate. - We will continue to encourage good hygiene practices at school. - We will move the planned parent - teacher meetings tomorrow into a phone format. Parents who have booked are advised to expect a phone call at their allocated time. Please do not attend the school for the meeting. - Whilst parents are still welcome to pick up and drop off students - social distancing is required and adults must carry a mask. We ask that parents remain outside of classrooms. Thankyou for your understanding.

18.01.2022 GCC bus runs allow us to safely get students to and from school each day. This can be a tricky process to organise so we would like to remind you of the following: - Morning: students need to be ready for the bus from 8am. Our bus run is very full and if our drivers have to wait, we can get very late for school. Bus drivers will honk the horn and wait for a few minutes but will then need to drive on. If your student misses the bus please contact the school to arrange a pick u...p if required. - Please contact the school as early as possible before 2pm if there are changes to your child’s bus arrangements. - We run two busses in Normanton of an afternoon and both are very full, so are taking a little longer to make their way around town. Thanks for your help in getting your students to and from school each day!

04.01.2022 GCC will be holding a Mother’s Day stall in the lead up to Mother’s Day on Sunday May 9th. Stay tuned for more info when school returns next week. Lots of lovely gifts for mum hand selected by the GCC team. Most gifts under $10!

03.01.2022 Next week GCC students have the opportunity to receive a free school health check from the team at Gidgee Healing. Last week students received a consent form for this - if you would like your child to receive a health check this form needs to be returned as soon as possible. Please see the school office if you require a new one.

02.01.2022 A little snapshot of our first chapel for 2021. Thanks to Miss Esther for taking the lead on this one and teaching us a new song - that I think was a hit with the community. Parents and family are invited each Thursday morning to share in this special celebration of God’s work in our lives.
