24.01.2022 Are you Henleys best eSailor? or just keen to give eSailing a go. Entry is FREE and open to all Henley Sailing Club members across all membership categories. eSailing is operated on the Virtual Regatta platform that is very realistic and has been hugely popular with sailors all around the globe during the COVID-19 period and is perfect for keeping up your skills and getting a some healthy competition with other sailors.... The Henley Sailing Club Championship is the pre-qualifying event to select representatives for the SA eSailing State Championship on 22-24 May 2020 where 2 South Australians will be selected to race in the Zhik Australian eSailing National Challenge on 28 May 2020. The club races will be held on the Weekend of 16 and 17 of May, at a mutally agreed time (plenty of time to practice and get familar). The series will consist or 5 Races with 2 drops. What do you need to do to join: Step 1. Sign up to Virtual Regatta through their web browser https://www.virtualregatta.com/en/inshore-game/ (no paid membership required) or by downloading the App, set up an account and start practicing. Step 2. When you have registered, email us here with the following: 1. Virtual Regatt username 2. VR Email (you will need this during the game to be notified of race codes etc..) 3. Preferred mobile number (you will need this during the game to be notified of race codes etc..) Tips when registering on Virtual Regatta: 1. Register on your desktop/lap top (home page here) https://www.virtualregatta.com/en/ 2. Click "Play Now" button >Virtual Regatt INSHORE 3. 24.01.2022 After the Christmas / New Year break great to see a few boats come down for a sail. Perfect weather with a 12 - 15 knot sea breeze.



24.01.2022 Sailing is going ahead as per normal tomorrow. Australian Sailing have issued a statement today regarding COVID19, please see attached. Australian Sailing are encouraging all participants, athletes, coaches, families and supporters at sailing clubs and regattas around the country to follow simple hygiene guidelines (wash your hands, sneeze into your elbow and stay at home/seek medical attention if you are sick), and note that the best source of information regarding the outbr...eak can be found on State and Federal Department of Health webpages. 06.01.2022 The Australian 505 nationals wrapped up yesterday in Melbourne. We had three teams attending including first timer Sam Byass and first time helming for Martin Smith. Henley Results: 8th Overall, Rookie Skipper & First Female Alexandra South & Marcus Cooper... 16th Overall David Ottaway sailing with Alex Higgins from BSYC 31st Overall Martin Smith & Sam Byass The top 10 included 5 boats from South Australia, a multiple world champion and past Australian Champions, the fleet is very competitive.
