17.01.2022 The silver city cup would like to thank the community for attending the races on Saturday. It was disappointing that the Wentworth bridge was still closed impacting our crowd numbers slightly however it was still a reasonable crowd. 13.01.2022 Update - Update - The 2020 Races have been postponed. A new date will be set by the committee when restrictions have eased. *****... The Silver City Cup Committee have received numerous messages over the last few days about the 2020 event. NO DECISION HAS BEEN MADE YET FOR THE 2020 EVENT We have decided to wait until July to meet and make this decision. We are hopeful that the covid-19 pandemic will have eased by October. We are also waiting for guidelines for social distancing to be reviewed by NSW government on July 1. This page will be updated once a decision has been made.

06.01.2022 Preparations for the annual Silver City Cup are underway in Broken Hill. Local police say they'll have a big presence during the day, encouraging locals to have a safe but responsible time.
