12.01.2022 When little people are overwhelmed by BIG emotions, its our job to share our calm, not join their chaos. -L.R.Knost You can let them know that you will a...lways love them even when they make mistakes or when they have hard feelings. You can tell them that its completely normal to feel angry, sad, and frustrated, and that having those feelings doesnt make them a burden or unlovable, it makes them human. Letting kids know theyre loved unconditionally does not mean we move boundaries, in fact, quite the opposite. I love you so much that I will hold this boundary to keep you safe or healthy. Remember that this isnt about shame. You get to try again tomorrow. What if tomorrow you told them you loved them after a time where they hadnt just done something kind or completed a task, but rather when they were breaking down? -Alyssa Blask Campbell @seed.and.sew Peaceful parenting resources: http://t.co/T8goym3P6Z #thegentleparent #parenting #children #life #kindness #Jesuslover #humanlover #feminism #socialjustice #equality #globalresponsibility #humanity #peace #sexualassaultsurvivor #cancer #NETcancer #cancerwarrior #books #coffee #quote #LRKnost www.LRKnost.com . 08.01.2022 People who are depressed often suffer from low self-esteem, which may be related to a lack of coordination between parts of the brain.

05.01.2022 For some patients, showing them what part of the brain controls emotion, or the nervous system, could open the door to helping them learn how to regulate these ...areas. Thats why we created an infographic based on the work of Paul D. MacLean, MD and Rick Hanson, PhD that you can share with your patients. 02.01.2022 Here are quite a few ways to improve mood... Which ones work for you?

02.01.2022 Nowadays, simply tuning in to the daily news is likely to be stressful. Add on the stresses of daily life such as handling work demands or adjusting to retire...ment, dealing with family issues, coping with illness, or caregiving and you may begin to greet each day with apprehension and worry. In other words, you can become anxious. See more

01.01.2022 Right now, were all facing the same storm, but were all doing so in different boats Some have yachts, others are in tinnies. Some have a substantial crew on ...board, others are rowing alone. Some have life jackets (higher resilience, stronger relationships, more optimism, use their strengths and more positivity), others dont even have a working rudder... I have been using this boat analogy a lot this week (after hearing it from @janewundersitz) to explain why some people are handling the current crisis better than others.. We are not all in the same boat. We are all in the same storm. That summation of our current situation originally came from Damian Barr (the illustration is by Barbara Kelley), who suggested that some of us will sail through this pandemic with our health and jobs intact, yet others will lose one or both, or potentially more. So if youre wondering why others are fairing better or worse than you at the moment, perhaps its worth considering what type of boat they are in.
