11.01.2022 CELEBRATING OUR HERITAGE A beautiful original drawing of the Bank from our resident artist Wildprints Chris McClelland. Accompanying text:... This building was opened in Hay, NSW by the London Chartered Bank in 1891. It closed its doors in 1893 and resumed later that year as the London Bank of Australia and later as the English Scottish Australian Bank Company. When they departed in 1942 the building was taken over by Goldsborough Mort. Younghusband Ltd and Elder Smith/Goldsborough Mort amalgamated and in 1972 it was sold to Kyle Smith. Barry and Kyle Smith operated here as R.C.Kinney & Co, a stock and station agency until taken over in 1983 by Victorian Producers. It is now a private residence. See more

09.01.2022 'Those Marvelous Bloody Horses' by our resident artist @chrismcclellandwildprints - Chris a local Hay based artist renowned for his unique, fine and intricate pencil drawings of African and Australian wildlife. Chris spends hours studying his subjects in their natural habitat, observing their movements and noticing the interaction between predator and prey. He uses sketches, photographs, video footage and his own well-honed powers of observation as reference to accurately por...tray the behaviour and anatomy of his subjects.
