24.01.2022 Have YOU done the climb? The Diamond Tree is not far from the Bellarmine vineyard and although it was closed for climbing last year, the surrounding forest is gorgeous for a winter stroll. #pembertonwa #southernforestswine

21.01.2022 This year it's just too hard to wish everyone a 'Merry' Christmas. We wish peace, health and safety for all, and together let's make the spirit of giving real for our fellow Australians who are fighting fires or have lost so much. As part of the wine community we encourage you to support those vineyards who have been devastated by the fires by buying wine direct from them or visiting their fb pages to find out how you can help - Here's the list to date (published in an Adelaide news source) but there may be others - Vinteloper Tilbrook Estate @NewEraVineyards Barristers Block Premium Wines Tomich Wines Golding Wines Anderson Hill Bird In Hand Winery Nova Vita Wines ArtWine Estate Turon Wines Petaluma Wine Geoff Weaver Simon Tolley Wines

19.01.2022 Despite the fact that chardonnay may always bring out our inner Kath & Kim ("Hello! Trophy wife in need of a Kardonnay"), the Bellarmine Chardonnay is all sophistication. It's a Chablis-style, crisp and light-bodied wine with a creamy texture created by long stirring on yeast lees. The oak is subtle, with only around 10% of the wine barrel-fermented. www.bellarmine.com.au #chardonnayallday

19.01.2022 The gorgeous ruby swirl of our 2019 Pinot Noir. It's being bottled today - very happy to have pinot available again after selling out of the last vintage.

18.01.2022 A great place in Albany, Western Australia, to find wines from around the South West - including Bellarmine!

18.01.2022 Why do we support Maritime and coastal archaeology at UWA? It's in the name! Find out more by clicking below and you can show your support too.

17.01.2022 The Western Australian Government has re-assessed the three bottle limit on wine purchases, and increased it to 12 x 750ml bottles per customer, per week for online sales. This is great news for wineries as it helps us to cover the costs of freight and handling and keep our prices affordable for our customers. Thankyou for continuing to support us - we appreciate it now more than ever! www.bellarmine.com.au

16.01.2022 Slide through the photos above to see where the Bellarmine logo and label designs come from. Bellarmine Wines takes its name, and the etchings on the wine labels, from the stone 'Bellarmine' jugs used to store wine, beer and other liquids in 16th and 17th century Europe. Di recently visited the Fremantle Shipwreck Museum and found this fantastic display of Bellarmine jugs retrieved from wrecks along the West Australian coast (pictured above). Some of the best examples of Bel...larmine pottery come from the famous wreck of the Batavia - hence our wine named 'Batavia'. The jugs originated in Germany and Belgium. The German owner of Bellarmine Wines, Willi Schumacher has a collection of Bellarmine jugs and the etchings on the wine labels are taken from these. You can see the image of the Bearded man on the jug in the third pic above, and in our logo in the fourth pic. The fifth pic shows etchings on the Riesling labels. There you go - a bit of Bellarmine 'insider' history!

14.01.2022 Here's an excuse to visit Pemberton this weekend...in case you needed one. And while you're there, sample some of the local wines. You'll find Bellarmine Wines at Tall Timbers Manjimup, Treehouse Tapas and Wine Bar, The Forest Lodge Resort and Pemberton Hotel bottleshop.

13.01.2022 Pemberton is such a beautiful place to visit in autumn and winter - enjoying wine, food, and the forest.

12.01.2022 What can we say....Pemberton is Pinot country!

12.01.2022 We've upgraded our website! Ordering is so much easier, and notifications keep you updated on your order right up until the wine lands on your doorstep. We've been wanting to give our customers a better experience when they buy online from us. Online shopping has changed so much in the last 5 years, and we really needed to change things up. It took a little while and a whole lot of work, but now it's up and running, and our Pemberton wines from Western Australia are being s...ent to wine lovers all over the country. Thankyou to everyone who continues to buy and enjoy Bellarmine. If you're not already a subscriber, head to the website and join for updates and subscriber-only offers. www.bellarmine.com.au

10.01.2022 We once had a customer stop by to get some sauvignon blanc on their way back from up north because they tried it at The Wharf Restaurant Broome. Make sure to enjoy a seafood feast if you are up that way!

10.01.2022 Riesling Lovers, we are very excited to share with you that our 10 year old 2009 Riesling Dry just won a Gold Medal at the Canberra International Riesling Challenge! After winning a trophy at another wine show for Best 2009 Riesling in its first year, this wine has gone from strength to strength. It's a testament to the ability of well crafted riesling to be drinking beautifully for many years. We have a very limited amount available to our customers - the rest will remain in our cellar for years to come!

08.01.2022 It's wonderful to see restaurants and bars reopening in Perth. Time to go out and have some fun - but please observe any conditions in place - it's for the safety of all and they need our support! If you are looking for great food and atmosphere, 300 Acres Restaurant and Bar is open!

07.01.2022 Perth people, make a date for wine tasting this Friday night at 300 Acres Restaurant and Bar to try our Bellarmine Riesling and Pinot noir, along with wines from Rosily Vineyard with the crew from Dave Mullen Wine Agency.

05.01.2022 The Bellarmine vineyard is in the Pemberton wine region, just over an hour's drive from the Margaret River Region, and its soils and climate are excellent for growing the sauvignon blanc variety. If you'd like to learn more about sauvignon blanc, here's a good article from Halliday Wine Companion

05.01.2022 Despite some chilly nights, the days are warming up and the vines are bursting with new growth. Orderly rows of vines adorn the countryside - it's a very pretty time to go for a drive. While we don't have a cellar door you can visit, you can try our wines at venues in Perth, Pemberton, Manjimup, and Albany. If you are looking for a particular wine and can't find it in your local bottleshop, visit www.bellarmine.com.au or contact us. #pemberton #pembertonwine #wanderoutyonder

03.01.2022 The promise of things to come...the 2020 Pinot noir is in barrel, undergoing secondary fermentation where the malic acid converts to lactic acid - a 'softer' acid which also helps to make the wine stable. It's already lovely and juicy, with plush tannins - very happy with how it's developing. It will sit in barrel for some months yet to allow it to develop some oak to give weight to the palate. And later this year, when it's ready, the world will be a brighter place and we will chink a glass in celebration!

03.01.2022 Not just a great wine region, Pemberton is a fantastic place to visit.

02.01.2022 Last chance to stock up on our highly rated Rieslings, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Order now at www.bellarmine.com.au

01.01.2022 A picture of calm Victoria Baker Photographer took some gorgeous new images at the Bellarmine property last week.

01.01.2022 TAKE NOTE! The Bellarmine 2016 Riesling Select gets great reviews from some of Australia's most well-known wine critics. It's a sweet style of riesling but don't be fooled - this is no 'blast from the past' sweet riesling. It's a refined drop - citrus and apple flavours balanced by acidity make it fresh and lovely. Enjoy it as an aperitif, serve it with a platter of fruit and cheese, or try it with spicy indian or thai style dishes. It also has the added bonus of being much lower in alcohol than many other wines, at around just 8%. Excellent for a long lunch! #riesling #rieslinglover #rieslingrocks #pembertonwa #winereviews #wawine
