11.01.2022 With the easing of restrictions which just wanted to remind our patients that if you are in pain we are open and here to help. As per our post last week we can now consult face to face in the clinic with those who have delayed care during the restrictions whose condition has deteriorated and without care would require more frequent treatment. We can also see patients who require pre and post operative care and can of course continue to treat those who condition is urgent or an emergency. Routine care is still not available at this time but hopefully we will be available soon. If you would like an appointment but are unsure if you fit the current criteria please feel free to give us a call.

06.01.2022 Today is R U Ok day and as someone who this year went through an incredibly tough period with my mental health where I was crippled with such severe anxiety I was unable to leave the house this day means more to me then ever before. Like many I suffered in silence and when I told people what I was going through when I felt comfortable to do so many people were in shock and couldn’t believe it. Please check in on your strong friends, your quiet friends and your friends who ...seem like they are ok because deep down they may not be. Call or text anyone on your mind today and let them know you are there. I am here anytime to listen and share my experience to help anyone who needs, there is no shame in asking for help as it may just be what saves your life. Lauren x

06.01.2022 We would like to congratulate our very talented receptionist Amy on being picked up by North Melbourne for the next AFLW season. We wish Amy all the best and look forward to watching you in action!

05.01.2022 Stage 4 extension update. With the extension of stage 4 restrictions we are still only able to see those patients face to face who are in need of urgent/emergency care those who without face to face care their condition would deteriorate to the point of needing the intervention of a specialist or an emergency department. If you have an appointment booked we will be calling to confirm if you fit the criteria over the next couple of weeks. We are hopeful from September 28th we... will be able to open and see more patients but we still have telehealth services available and will continue with our stretching classes and advice in the mean time. With 2 weeks to go we are almost there, be sure to get out enjoy your 2 hours of exercise a day and the sunshine and fresh air and hopefully in 2 weeks we will have good news that we can see you all again in the clinic. Stay safe, look after each other and we hope to see you all soon.

01.01.2022 When the practitioner becomes the patient. After 16 weeks in a cast or moonboot 2 weeks ago I was given the all clear to remove the moonboot and start the slow rehabilitation process for my lis franc repair. Here is a small snippet of some of the exercises I am doing daily at the moment to rebuild the strength and movement in my foot after so long. I am not rehabbing my foot on my own like all good practitioners I know when to seek the guidance of someone with a better skill... set then myself and I am the first to admit that rehab is not my strong suit and I have been consulting a Physiotherapist at @olympicparksportsmed to help ensure I progress at the right pace and do not overdo it too soon, which can be a major concern when rehabbing yourself. Watch out for more videos as my strength improves and rehab progresses. #rehab #lisfrancinjury #lisfrancrehab #teamwork #strength

01.01.2022 Today’s video is a 5minute stretching flow you can do without having to leave your desk or couch. It goes through stretching from top to toe to get the blood flowing and body moving. You can extend or shorten at your own and as always not all stretches will suit all people and all stretches should only be performed within pain limits. This weeks Facebook live stretching session will be tomorrow Wednesday at 7.45pm.
