25.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job was to custom build a Ford XB GT 351 with A/C spec. radiator.I prepared the new radiator tanks,assembled them to thier bespoke 4 row radiator core,pressure tested and then painted it.Good to go!!!



24.01.2022 Just lately I have had a run of old British classic radiators.First up a Jaguar series 1 XJ6 radiator ,a V12 XJS Jaguar radiator,a pair of MGB heater cores and lastly a 70's Aston Martin radiator.All in for cleanout and repair jobs and all good to go!!!

24.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was from a 1971 E type Jaguar V12 for a recore.I completely dismantled the radiator,prepared the tanks/brackets,reassembled them to their bespoke radiator core,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

24.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was from a 1983 Ferrari 328 Mondial which required a cleanout.I carefully removed the top radiator tank,rodded the tubes, prepared the tank/brackets,reassembled and pressure tested but left it unpainted by request. Good to go!!!



24.01.2022 My latest old school classic radiator in the workshop was from a 1972 Toyota Celica LT 1600.The vehicle had sat dormant for over 20 years and required a radiator rebuild.I totally dismantled the radiator,prepared the radiator tanks/brackets,reassembled them to their bespoke radiator core,replaced the inlet/outlet pipes,pressure tested and then repainted it. Good to go!!!!

23.01.2022 The workshop has been a bit quiet lately, but I have had a run of heater cores in for clean and repair for fellow car enthusiast project vehicles.Firstly a 1968 HK Holden under dash heater core,an LJ Torana GTR heater core and lastly a 1971 Ford Falcon GT heater core.All in for a dismantle,core rodding,reassembly and pressure testing. All left unpainted(no smelly cabin) All good to go!!!

22.01.2022 My latest classic radiator job was from a 1967 Ford Falcon GT 289.Upon flow testing the radiator it was obvious that the core was severely blocked,in a poor state and needed recoring.I completely dismantled the radiator,prepared the tanks/sidestraps,reassembled them to the new radiator core,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

21.01.2022 My latest relic in the workshop was a radiator from a 1963 AP5 Valiant for a cleanout and repair.I removed the top radiator tank,rodded the tubes,prepared the top tank/side brackets,reassembled,performed radiator core repairs,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

21.01.2022 Todays classic radiator job was from a Olds 403 powered 1980 Pontiac Trans Am that required a cleanout.I carefully removed the inlet tank,rodded the radiator core,prepared the inlet tank,reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

21.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job was from a 1967 Series 3 Landrover and was in for a much needed cleanout/repair.I carefully removed the top radiator tank,rodded the radiator tubes,prepared the headerplate/top tank,reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted it. Good to go!!!

21.01.2022 Todays old school radiator job was from a 1959 Ford Fairlane 500(Barge) radiator for cleanout and repair.I carefully dismantled the entire radiator,rodded the tubes,prepared the tanks/brackets,reassembled the radiator assembly,pressure tested and the repainted it .Good to go!!!



19.01.2022 Latest job in the workshop was a 2004 Holden Commodore 3.8 V6 for a routine coolant flush.Unfortunately the intake manifold gaskets had failed which allowed the engine oil to enter the cooling system.Upon consultation with the customer it was agreed a bigger job was necessary.I dismantled the intake system,prepared the mating surfaces,reassembled with new gaskets/seals,flushed the cooling system,refilled the coolant and then test ran the engine.Good to go!!!!!

19.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was out of a 1970's Fiat 124 Sport.As the vehicle had been in hibernation for a long time my brief was to make sure there were no problems.Upon flowtesting the radiator it was found to be extremely blocked and needed cleaning.I carefully removed the top radiator tank,rodded the radiator core,prepared the top tank,reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!!

18.01.2022 In my workshop this week I have had a run of old school copper/brass radiators for repair.Firstly an Iseki tractor radiator for a custom built recore,a Range Rover radiator for cleanout/repair and a Case JX95 tractor radiator for cleanout/repair.All done and good to go!!!

18.01.2022 My latest classic radiator in the workshop was from an early 1970s MG 1275 Midget.The brief was to clean and repair the radiator ready for its new upgraded engine.I carefully removed the top radiator tank,rodded the tubes,reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted it Good to go!!!

16.01.2022 Winters here!!!! The latest olds school job in the workshop was a heater core from a 1967 XR Ford GT which required a recore.I completely dismantled the heater core,prepared the tanks,reassembled them to their bespoke core and then pressure tested it.Good to go!!!!

16.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was from a 1980s Saab 900.After my flow test revealed a severe radiator blockage the customer agreed to me performing a radiator cleanout.I carefully removed the inlet tank from the radiator, rodded the radiator core,prepared the inlet tank,reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!!

16.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was from an old W115 Mercedes 220D.The brief was to perform a radiator cleanout/repair so I carefully removed the top radiator tank,rodded the tubes,prepared the top tank/side brackets,reassembled,pressure tested and the repainted it.Good to go !!!!

16.01.2022 My latest classic car radiator in the workshop was from an LX Torana SS V8.The complaint was the vehicle was overheating under load.Upon flow testing the radiator the cause was obvious as it only flowed approx 30% of its capacity.I removed the top radiator tank,rodded the radiator core,prepared the tank/sidebands,reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!!

15.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was out of a 1968 VE V8 Valiant and required a cleanout,repair and modification.I dismantled the radiator,rodded the radiator core, prepared the top tank/sidestraps,reassembled,repaired the leaking transmission fittings,modified the bottom 44mm outlet pipe,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

15.01.2022 A couple of Holden custom radiator builds in this week.Firstly a 3 row recore for a stroker HR Holden 6 and then a 3 row V8 Torana recore.Both built,tested,painted and out the door!!!

13.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was from a 1946 MG TC which required a recore.I dismantled the radiator,prepared the radiator tanks/brackets,assembled them to their bespoke radiator core,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

13.01.2022 The latest old school radiator in the workshop was from a nice old 1950 MG TD.The radiator was quite sturdy and only required to be removed from its radiator shell,a backflush,minor repair,pressure test, repaint and then reassemble .Good to go!!!!

12.01.2022 Another old school car heater core in for cleanout and repair!!This time from a 1968 Alfa Romeo GT.I carefully removed the inlet tank,rodded the core,reassembled,repaired a tube/header leak and then pressure tested it.Good to go!!!!

12.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was from a dearly loved old David Brown tractor.The radiator was in a very poor state and needed a recore.I totally dismantled the radiator assembly,prepared the radiator tanks/mounting frame,reassembled them to thier bespoke radiator core,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

11.01.2022 The latest old school job in the workshop was a beaut old Chrysler RV1 for an overheating issue under load.Upon inspection the radiator was 60% blocked but was deemed beyond repair and needed a rebuild.I removed the radiator from the vehicle,dismantled the radiator,prepared the tanks/sidebands,reassembled them to a new 45mm 3row core,pressure tested and then repainted it.After thoroughly flushing the engine I refitted the radiator,refilled the coolant and then test ran the engine.Good to go !!!

09.01.2022 Another old classic car heater core in for attention,this time out of 1972 BMW 2002.I carefully removed the inlet tank,rodded the heater core,reassembled and then pressure tested it.Good to go!!!!

09.01.2022 My latest old school radiator job in the workshop was an urgent Isuzu FRR truck recore for an Owner/Driver.I totally dismantled the radiator,prepared the radiator tanks/brackets,reassembled them to thier bespoke radiator core,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!!

09.01.2022 For my latest old school radiator jobs I have had a run of classics,Aston Martin DB5,W113 Mercedes 230SL and a Mercedes 300SL gullwing.The DB5 and 300SL were radiator,heater and engine oil cooler repairs as required but the 230SL radiator and heater core needed recoring.I dismantled them,prepared the tanks/mounting brackets,reassembled them to thier bespoke radiator cores and then pressure tested them.They were left unpainted by request and are good to go!!!

08.01.2022 The latest old school radiator job in the workshop was from a beaut old 1973 Chrysler Charger 265.The brief was to perform a cleanout on the radiator so I removed the top radiator tank,rodded the radiator core,prepared the top tank/sidebrackets,reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

08.01.2022 In the workshop today I had a variety of classic radiators for attention.First up a very blocked radiator from a 351 Cleveland V8 powered HJ47 Landcruiser for cleanout/repair,next a radiator from a 1969 Morgan 4/4 for repair and lastly a radiator from a Ferrari Dino for repair.All done and good to go!!!

07.01.2022 I had a couple of old british classic car radiators in today for cleanouts and repairs.First up an MG TF radiator which was carefully dismantled,the core was rodded,the tanks/brackets prepared,reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted.Up next was a Triumph TR6 radiator which was carefully dismantled,the core was rodded,the tanks/brackets prepared,all reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted.Both good to go!!!!

07.01.2022 My latest old school radiator in the workshop was from a beaut old 1969 Mini Cooper S.The radiator was in for a cleanout/repair so I removed the top tank,rodded the radiator core,prepared the tank, reassembled,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

06.01.2022 In today I had a couple of old Ford V8 Windsor radiator jobs for cleanouts.Firstly a beaut old 1963 Compact Fairlane in for a radiator removal,engine flush,radiator core rod out,radiator reassemble,pressure test,radiator refit,coolant refill and then test run.Next up a 1965 Mustang V8 radiator for a cleanout.Both good to go!!!

02.01.2022 My latest jobs in the workshop were a little different.To repair a customers treasured copper kettle, modify a Rolls Royce radiator coolant reservoir filler and fit mounting brackets to a batch of V8 MGB radiators.All good to go!!!

02.01.2022 My latest old classic radiator job was from a 1965 W110 Mercedes 220D Universal(wagon) in for an overheating issue.Upon flow testing the radiator the cause was obvious as the radiator core was approx 80% blocked with debris and in a very poor state hence in need of a rebuild.I totally dismantled the radiator,prepared the tanks/sidestraps,reassembled them to thier bespoke radiator core,pressure tested and then repainted it.Good to go!!!

02.01.2022 My latest job in the workshop was an original low kilometre 1993 ED Ford 4.0L sedan.The complaint was the vehicle was overheating and leaking coolant.After removing the radiator and performing an inspection the cause was obvious and it was agreed a replacement radiator was required.I supplied and fitted a new copper/plastic radiator assembly,flushed the cooling system,refilled fresh coolant and then test ran the engine.Good to go!!!
