We spoke to Amanda Yong (HMO at Monash Health), who attended 3 IMPACT conferences around the nation and gave us these reasons to go: 1. "Impact is a camp style conference with a great opportunity to build lifelong (and eternity-long!) friendships with other healthcare workers. Mine kept me grounded throughout med school and continue to support me on my faith journey, understanding the long working hours, stress and fear; but remembering the great strength, identity and purpose in the name of our Lord Christ Jesus. 2. Trust me, having 1. makes med school and working life a lot more tolerable, enjoyable, and a constant reminder that you that you are not alone in your field of practice 3. Literally no better way to spend your long weekend holiday I am very grateful for impact and how it has shaped my life as a Christian practicing medicine. 09.01.2022 As a Christian Medical and Dental association, CMDFA values how we can best care for those around us and show love in everything we do. Unfortunately, in light of the recent developments of COVID-19 and recommendations given by the federal government to minimise large social gatherings, the Impact conference has been cancelled this year. After much consideration, the CMDFA board has prayerfully made this decision, in order to prevent potential spread of the virus. It is our ...priority to keep our friends, family and community safe, especially in the healthcare field. We appreciate that this news will have caused disruptions to your schedule and we thank you for your understanding during these uncertain times.
