24.01.2022 Dog poo news... In the last month, dog poo has been found, and on some occasions stepped in, in the hall field (where there is a clear sign saying no dogs allow...ed) and now in the chapel graveyard. The same person has been spotted walking their dog on the grass at the front of the hall and in the graveyard by school staff. If they are allowing their dogs to foul in these areas and are seen walking their dogs in these areas, they will be reported. EDIT: The contact details for reporting fouling can be found here. We encourage anybody who witnesses this to use the system. https://www.cornwall.gov.uk//dog-foul/report-dog-fouling/

23.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who has made scarecrows of key workers. But an even bigger thank you to our key workers. The scarecrows have really brought the village together through the social distancing and brought smiles to many faces.

22.01.2022 Mark Blencowe, from the Bridge Church, has organised a Holiday Club called Anchors Away. The dates of the Holiday Club are 23rd July to 26th July. It sounds very exciting and will presented online, but there is also a pack that goes with it with lots of interesting goodies. If you are interested in your child attending then please register by clicking on the following link, where there is a google registration form. https://www.facebook.com/BridgeKidsLaunceston/ (pinned po...st has the google form within it.) https://youtu.be/9XxI6HHnwA8 (How to collect your packs) Even if you don’t register, you can still watch the videos live on facebook.com/bridgekidslaunceston.

19.01.2022 Sadly, for the first time since its inception 30 years ago, the Maunder and Stephens families are unable to hold a MacMillan Coffee Morning this year due to new restrictions. Becky is still taking donations if you would like to give to this worthy cause.

17.01.2022 This is the first meditation on the book of Ruth.

16.01.2022 You may have seen booklets outside our chapel, or a large sign as you enter the village. Why not have a look at what it's all about here... https://www.trypraying.co.uk/

15.01.2022 The Christian teachings of faith, hope, and love could not be more appropriate as we all try to navigate our way through these uncertain times. Thank you Prin...ce William for this powerful message, and for joining The Church of England's Mental Health Awareness Week service online yesterday. See more

04.01.2022 Launceston Area Methodist Circuit What’s On This Week We are into the Christmas week and although Christmas may not be exactly what we expected it to be, and I know for some the new restrictions have been extremely upsetting, I hope that you will feel connected as the family of God in the various events and services that will be happening this week. For details of the services happening in chapels around our circuit, please go to our circuit website and check details on the v...arious chapel pages. This week on zoom we have our Circuit Prayer Meetings and the last in the Advent Bible series - Hope for the future. There is also the coffee morning on Wednesday where we will recalling a memory of a Christmas past - come wearing something Christmasy. On Christmas Eve there is a midnight mass service which you must book into first. On Christmas Day there will be a service at 11:00 am. It will be a great opportunity for us all to wish each other a very happy Christmas and invite family and friends to join us. For those who have all their Christmas presents opened first thing, perhaps you would like to email me a photo so we can share it in the usual Show & Tell! If anyone wants prayer over the Christmas period then please don’t hesitate to contact me or one of the other ministers in the circuit. Alternatively if you have a prayer request then please let me know by emailing me [email protected]

04.01.2022 Lanson, We have been asked to put this out on our social media as a public service style annoucement. It’s really important so if you can help us get the messa...ge out we can all do our bit to keep our town as safe as we can. Thank you. Ellie and the Team. *Cases of Covid-19 in our area are rising. Please help to stop the spread of the virus. It's really important that you only leave your home if it’s essential, and reduce your contact with other people. It should be noted that cases in Cornwall are still lower than elsewhere in the UK but this is very much our opportunity to take action in order to keep it that way. 04.01.2022 The second meditation on Ruth

04.01.2022 Coads Green Chapel would like to say a huge thank you to James Shaw for this beautiful wooden sculpture now marking the chapel car park.

03.01.2022 We will remember them.

02.01.2022 A meeting was held this week to discuss the potential reopening of the chapel. The main questions we still have are: would you like to see the church building reopen for worship? Would you feel safe attending worship? Would you be willing to volunteer to ensure the safety of all attending on a Sunday morning? Would you be willing to 'book in' due to limited numbers? You can comment or message this page or contact Rev Jo Smart to help the church members make an informed decision.

01.01.2022 Here is the next meditation on the book of Ruth. https://soundcloud.com//meditation-ruth-2-ruth-works-in-th
