09.01.2022 It can take some time to adjust to online appointments. For those using telehealth, here are some ideas to get the most out of your sessions

04.01.2022 Very happy (and relieved) to hear this morning that telehealth services have been extended for another 6 months!

01.01.2022 I don't know about you but everyone I talk to seems to be over the top FILLED up with feelings. Can you relate? Sometimes, when we are flooded with emotion our ...appetite system and nervous system can get pretty wonky. In some cases, you might notice that super high emotions shut your appetite down. The tricky thing is that your nervous system and emotions need fuel to stay regulated. The food you put in your body is the literal building blocks for the neurotransmitters and hormones that allow your body to find equilibrium. So whether you are feeling overwhelmed, angry, or anxious your body still needs food - even when you might not feel like eating or dealing with it. If you are feeling too spent to deal with food (my hand has certainly been raised these past few weeks) keep it super duper simple. Remember that getting fed - period - matters more than the nutrients on your plate. A bowl of cereal or turkey and cheese sandwich is better than nothing. One of my go-to's when I just cannot be bothered with food and I'm filled up with feelings is a frozen BBQ chicken pizza from Trader Joe's and a handful of bagged salad on the side.
