25.01.2022 Camp Quality Puppet Show Unfortunately a Cancer diagnosis affects 1 in 3 families with small children. We wanted to do our best to support those families with education and empathy by bringing a fun , age appropriate and educational puppet show to our centre. Camp Quality is Australia's most trusted children's charity and we were very grateful that they brought their vivacious and loveable puppets to visit us.



25.01.2022 The educators in the 2-3s and kindy recorded a mini learning journey for our children to practice their counting and number order. See if your child can guess which educator matches each number on our number hunt up to 10. Just another fun way to celebrate our 10th Birthday at Goodstart on Monday.

24.01.2022 Recently the children at Goodstart Early Learning Tapping were provided with the opportunity to explore and learn more about the importance of dental hygiene during Dental Hygiene week Encouraging your child to brush their teeth twice a day (morning and before bed) for just two minutes helps remove plaque, preventing tooth decay, gum disease and other dental problems later in life

Last Wednesday, we acknowledged the ways in which everyone in the community can make a difference in the life of a child To promote this important cause, we invited our local Police officers to come to talk to the children about child safety The children explored wearing different police uniforms, having a look in the police car and asking any questions that they may have had... 23.01.2022 Red Nose Day A big thankyou to everyone who particapted in Red Nose day at the centre on Friday 14th August. We are proud to announce as a centre we raised over $100 for this worthy cause. The Red Nose website rednose.org.au has lots of information in regards to safe sleeping, safe wrapping, tummy time, cot to bed safety and much much more.

22.01.2022 Autism Awareness Month Over this month our centre has come together to make a difference in the lives of people with Autism. We all chose to wear blue for a week , particapted in lots of blue activities and raised just over $100 to support Autism WA. We even made sure we had a look at our nearby flyover bridge lit up in blue lights in support. Autism Association of Western Australia

Thank you for all your hard work each and every day We all had a lovely day thanks to all our families for our lovely flowers , presents, hand made cards pictures and words of thanks. We really appreciated it and enjoy sharing in the care of all your children every day.

21.01.2022 Fun learning experiences to try at home! Does your little one love exploring different textures with their hands but they are also at the stage where they love exploring with their mouth? By exploring books together every day, you can inspire your child to love reading ... The theme for this years Book Week is ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’ We would like to invite everyone to come in dressed as their favourite book characters and to bring along a book to share with their friends and Educators!

Check in We’re encouraging all of our families & educators to continuously check in on their friends & loved ones At the centre today each educator also had a well being checklist to complete . 20.01.2022 WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER During this time there are members in our local community who are feeling very isolated. As a centre we wanted to share kindness to our local elderly residents nearby. Very soon we will be passing on a variety of easter cards that the children have helped to decorate with different art techniques- painting, stamping, mark making, paper tearing snipping and gluing. ... We still have time this week to add more messages in the jar to share as a child's voice describing what Easter means to them. I'm sure you will agree they will make our seniors smile.

14.01.2022 Daily we encourage children to look at books, pictures and join in with stories. Recently in April, our Kindy children have been exploring nests, eggs and birds. We are lucky to see many birds flying across the sky and nesting in the trees nearby. Many of our children are also being creative mark making and using colours. ... Over the past few months people, families and communities have been tried and tested in the most extraordinary ways. As frontline essential workers our Goodstarters rose to this challenge, stepping up to support our 60,000 families and 71,000 children through some incredibly challenging times.... So weve declared this week Thank You Week! A week to celebrate and recognise our 10,000+ Goodstarters for continuing to go above and beyond in face of adversity. 07.01.2022 Santosh Recieved her 5 Years of Service Certifcate Congratulations to our cook Santosh who has been with us for over 5 years. Santosh shows a love of cooking for our children , specializing in vegetarian meals and other dietary requirements making them all look the same. Even during COVID-19 the children haven't noticed any difference in meals being provided, using all her normal freshly made sauces and herbs. She also loves to hear from our families for any suggestions for different meals and ensures they are also added to our menu. Thanks for all your hard work in the kitchen Santosh it is very much appreciated.

07.01.2022 000 Hero Excursion Last Thursday we were lucky to have St John visit our centre to talk to the children about basic first aid concepts through storytelling and Kuranda the paramedic Bear. The children also got an opportunity to look inside the ambulance and ask any questions. One of our Kindy children even shared a picture with the ambulance officer. ... It was a great learning experience for the children and they have been talking about it every day since.

06.01.2022 On Tuesday 4th August Goodstart Tapping, celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's day. We were extremely honoured to have local MP Dr Anne Aly visit us to do a flag presentation ... of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags. Dr Anne Aly then joined in with some traditional experiences with the children such as damper making, traditional weaving, making tapping sticks , exploring traditional Noongar symbols, and reading stories such as How the Birds got Their Colours. 05.01.2022 Bravehearts’ White Balloon Day is an annual day to raise funds and awareness for the prevention of child sexual assault and exploitation. Our Centre got involved in the day by wearing white and raising over $250. A big thankyou to our Tapping Families !!

04.01.2022 Our Little explorers have been loving learning about dinosaurs here at Goodstart Tapping. If you have a little dinosaur enthusiast at home they might like to try making their own dinosaur fossils with you. Once your salt dough fossils have been cooked, cooled and painted you can extend on the experience by burying them in a container of sand and letting your child explore being a paleontologist, carefully uncovering the fossils with old paint brushes.... 03.01.2022 Last Friday, we celebrated International Rare Disease Day here at Goodstart Tapping International Rare Disease Day’s aim is to raise awareness of genetic and rare diseases amongst the general public and decision makers about the impact rare diseases have on patients lives To celebrate this important day, our Toddler children and Educators created tie dye tshirts in the colours of green, purple, blue and pink and wore them with pride ... Throughout the centre, the children also created handprints in these same colours to bring awareness to this cause Genetic and Rare Disease Network
