23.01.2022 It's that spectacularly spooky time of year once more and while both costumed parties and trick or treating are heavily suppressed by the current health directives, there are some annual traditions still on the table. 21.01.2022 As you probably already know, from 11:59 PM this Wednesday, the Ballarat region is going into stage 3 lock down and that includes us. We will remain open for the following hours; Monday to Friday: 11am - 7pm Saturday and Sunday: 10am - 6pm... Online packing and shipping will remain in action for the duration of these restrictions. 20.01.2022 As the continued "donut days" roll in accompanied by changes in restrictions, we are once again starting to host a limited number of trading card game events (further details in the comments). This also means a slight tweaking of our opening hours, which are as follows; Monday - 11am-8pm... Tuesday - 11am-7pm Wednesday - 11am-7pm Thursday - 11am-8pm Friday - 11am-9pm Saturday - 10am-4pm For our XBox players; expect an update in the very near future. PC players will have to wait a bit longer at this point, but we are following proceedings closely and look forward to returning to a more complete Guf experience. We would also like to take a moment to thank all of our customers for their continued support during these difficult times.

This stunning box set contains all of the miniatures, rules and accessories that you need to jump into the newest edition of Warhammer 40,000. In addition to the rules, two forces of all-new models and other accessories, each preorder for Indomitus will gain a pair of pin badges, a set of art cards and a wrist band (these items will be limited to 1/customer, while stocks last).... But we're far from done! This week we've had Margraves of Valeria (Kickstarter Edition) and Pokemon Battle Academy among our new arrivals. 04.01.2022 Variety is the spice of life (though we always thought it was thyme) - so today's window offers a nice mixed bag of options. Onitama is a brilliant strategy game that pits two players against each other in a battle of wits and careful maneuvering where actions taken become available to your opponent to use. Unmatched is a miniatures fighting game for two-four players that pits a variety of fantastical and historical figures (and their assorted sidekicks) against each other in... close, tense engagements. The Kimera Kolors pure pigments paint set has only recently arrived here in Ballarat; they are intended for advanced painters (or less-experienced painters looking to broaden their skills) where their single-pigment formulation allows for an amazing experience in mixing and blending colours. 04.01.2022 This week we are featuring our fabulously fuzzy feline friends front and center with a curious collection of creative cat games from our carefully curated cat-alogue. In Isle of Cats one to four players (five to six with expansion) carefully arrange cats on their ships to maximise their score in line with their own unique goals. Calico is a puzzly quilting game for 1-4 players where each player is simultaneously trying to make the most beautiful quilt and attract cats to rest on their work for additional points.

In The King's Dilemma the players act as the King's inner circle, bargaining and discussing among themselves to help shape the future of the kingdom through a series of dilemmas that must be answered. The King's Dilemma is a game for 3-5 players that is played as a narrative series of 45-60 minute games.

01.01.2022 Regional Victoria is moving to the third step on the coronavirus road to recovery this week (https://www.vic.gov.au//Victoria-roadmap-for-reopening-how) and with it comes greater freedom of movement and ability to engage in outdoors activities. To give our staff a chance to enjoy this opportunity and refresh their batteries Guf Ballarat will be closed Monday the 21st, Tuesday the 22nd and Wednesday the 23rd of September; it will reopen at 11am on Thursday the 24th of September. We will also be using this time to do a little rearranging of the store, which will allow us to welcome our customers in to browse our wares once again.
