20.01.2022 Finally got to breaking open one (actually two packets) of these highly rated Red Chef ramen noodles. Our family back in Malaysia tastes tested these before we added them to our store and they loved them - as close as you can get to hawker style. Big call! But we can attest to its amazingness! The paste that forms the base of the soup is very tasty - great prawn flavour and it does have a kick to it. We used our trusty Malaysian soft boiled egg maker to do the eggs at the sam...e time. We do like to sweeten our Chrysanthemum tea with some sugar (not too much though) so this morning we’ve used the Sweet Home Honeycomb Sugar. If you haven’t come across this product, it’s made with honey, sugar and Chrysanthemum. It has a subtle Chrysanthemum fragrance and a honey taste. The amount we’ve used in the video gives it a hint of sweetness and really complements the Chrysanthemum blossom. Of course you ca...n also use this sugar for pastries/baking, coffee, juices, savoury dishes etc - anything as an alternative to normal sugar. 03.01.2022 Our tasting for this morning is one of your favourites - the Loke Kee Hup Toh Soh. Who says we can’t have a sweet treat early in the morning! Each bikkie is in an individual foil wrapper to keep them crunchy and fresh - great for just grabbing one and putting it in your bag/lunch box for snacks. These walnut biscuits are made in Ipoh from a recipe passed down from generations. Taste wise, not too sweet and it has a slight salty after taste which was a nice surprise.
