Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding

13.01.2022 With Tasmania having moved today into a four-week lockdown, we wanted to confirm that we are still permitted to provide essential veterinary services to our clients. While not all services may be considered essential, your options will be discussed at the time of booking - and please be assured we have your animals welfare front-of-mind. Last night we set up a new shelter in our car park, which should help keep you dry if its raining when dropping off an animal! Please remember to maintain 1.5 metres between you and our staff when dropping or collecting any animals. Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time - we really appreciate your support

13.01.2022 *Clinic Update* Were pleased to let you know of some recent changes that are NOT virus related Tara has finished up (temporarily thank goodness!) to start her maternity leave and weve happily welcomed Kristin to the team. Shes fitted in quickly and its wonderful to have her with us. The first photo was taken this week while Kristin helped Dr Bess splint calf Buckles two front legs it was a bit of a novelty seeing a calf at the clinic rather than on-farm! Were ha...ppy to report Buckle is recovering well. Were also super excited to formally introduce our newest and fourth vet, Dr Carol Dowty. She joined us back in March from a country practice in NSW, along with her cat Nashville Many of you will recognise her smiling face - Dr Carol started clinical work after completing voluntary self-isolation a few weeks ago! She had a great day trimming the feet of some friendly steers this week, including DJ as shown in the second photo Keep an eye on our website, our newest staff will be added very soon! See more

13.01.2022 Longford & Northern Midlands Vets: COVID-19 Update In light of the recent coronavirus outbreak, we would like to inform our clients that we are doing all we can to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission to our staff and clients, so that we can provide ongoing care for your animals and do our part to protect those at risk in our society. We want to reassure our clients that we are still providing veterinary services, and that consultations are continuing. However, if youv...e been out of the State in the last 14 days, are SICK, in QUARANTINE, or high risk - please phone ahead to discuss your situation and booking so we can take appropriate steps to ensure everyone is kept safe and your animal receives veterinary care. We also ask that: - you implement good hygiene and social distancing during your time at the clinic - you ring ahead to organise food or medications - where possible a limit of 1 owner per pet be present during consultations - when arriving for your appointment, please ring to alert us you have arrived and wait in your car for someone to come out to you As the outbreak continues, a number of pet owners may be placed in quarantine, either with confirmed COVID-19 infection or due to exposure. We know your pets are part of your family and you will want them to have the same level of protection and care as any other family member we will continue to provide our services, and can arrange phone consultations and/or ongoing pet medications/supplies as appropriate. Current information suggests there is no apparent risk to you or your pet from being in quarantine together. However, it is advised you continue to practice appropriate hand hygiene before and after handling your pet, their food and food/water bowls. Close contact, such as hugging pets or having them sleep on your bed, should also be minimised during this time. Wed like to thank you all for your support and understanding. Please call us to discuss any concerns.
