05.01.2022 Ever since I became an adult all I can remember is that from June onwards things get hectic. I dont know about you but from June to Sept I feel like just hiding away for a little while but of course when your Mum you have to bring it on all levels.....and so I bought it my way... transformational art therapy subject for a student. 3 birthdays in my Family, only taking credit for the Bluey cake. cousins wedding. Im one of those simpletons you know pretend you cut your o...wn hair because of covid when actually I dont have much hair so I just cut my own. So for the wedding Mum went glam hair styled and professional make done. Babysitter booked for the little people. Presto date night with one my favoutite people, my husband. lots of park plays, loose parts plays. You know toddlers love sorting, throwing, pushing building. They want pots n pans for music they get pots n pans. They want to play in water they play in water. When my preschooler wants play dates we organise play dates. When their cup is filled socially, in nature, sensory wise, there is peace and connection amongst us all. Even when I have had chronic pain being indoors for too long makes all of us feel blah. Was blessed to finally make our first bush play group. It means the world to me and the benefits for my toddler are endless and invaluable. Ask my friends, I cried at the thought of my preschooler starting school this year because, wait for it "not because they were growing up, but because i feel i failed them for not making it to bush play group with them" Thank goodness their preschool are advocates of outdoor child led play. Beautiful educators n preschool. making things from scratch. Nothing makes teething children happier than copious amounts of ice blocks made from freshly squeezed oranges from the Markets. 04.01.2022 Do you know any little people who love copious amounts of bubbles? My toddler has been pointing at the bubble machine all week. I didnt have the batteries for it last night and then remembered making this for my then 2.5 year old. Of course at that time my child sucked the soap through the mouth end of the plastic bottle, rather than blowing it out and I ended up on the phone to our local healthline nurse to make sure they hadnt been poisened. Aghh. Recommend this activ...ity to make and blow bubbles for 3y+. Catching, chasing, karate chopping bubbles for any age. All you need is a 300 to 600ml plastic bottle with the end bit cut off or a paperhand towel covered in contact paper on either end inside and on the outside plus one sock. Place the sock on the cut off end of the plastic bottle and dip it in the soapy water. Then blow through the mouth end of the bottle......kids will love the amount of bubbles this produces.... For a non toxic bubble mixture mix together:1 cup water, 1 table spoon glycerin, 1/4 cup natural, biodegradabledish detergent. I only had Fairy dishwashing liquid so used this and ensured it didnt get into any little eyes or mouths. Benefits of blowing bubbles for children include: Gross and fine motor movement, balance and muscle tone development. Hand-eye and foot-eye coordination and visual tracking. Speech, hearing and language development.
