23.01.2022 Residents of Mudgeeraba and Worongary area. Please be advised this Sat the 1st of August at 0830 there will be a helicopter similar to what is in the photo land...ing at the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds in the main arena. This is part of the exercise for the Gold Coast Rural Fire Brigade Group with over 200 volunteers partaking in training across the Showgrounds. The helicopter is not scheduled to depart until after 4pm unless called away for emergencies. It will remain stationary in the oval for firefighters to become familiar with working around aircraft for the upcoming fire season. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to residents but this is critical training for our volunteers. See more

02.01.2022 HERE'S HOW YOU CAN DONATE DIRECTLY TO GOLD COAST FIRIES The Gold Coast Rural Fire Brigade Group is holding an open day for donations this Saturday (11th) ...at 32 Mudgeeraba Road, Worongary. Not only did they fight fires across the Gold Coast last year but many are now being deployed to help out down south. We understand trucks will be made available for photos with the kids, along with a BBQ feed. Donations will go towards specific tools including thermal imaging cameras, ration packs, chainsaws and lay flat hoses. Spread the word folks
