24.01.2022 The birth of a mother happens each time a baby is born. It can be lonely, frightening and really uncomfortable. Be as kind and patient with yourself as you would with your newborn. And surround yourself with your village of supporters who have your back.

23.01.2022 Here come the Covid babies

21.01.2022 Love taking couples through the Fourth Trimester Workshop. So many lightbulb moments happen for the expectant couple that makes it all worthwhile. Tag your pregnant friends so they know it’s available.

10.01.2022 Breech’ is the term used to describe a baby positioned bottom or feet first. My baby was Frank breech and after he was born would often sleep with his hips bent as far as they would go with his feet in front of his face. Breech presentation is less common, but a variation of NORMAL! Your baby is NOT abnormal or wrong for being bottom or feet first . The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists advise that women can consider ECV, planned vaginal birth or... planned caesarean section if their baby is in the breech position. There are benefits and risks of both caesarean section and vaginal breech birth, and both should be discussed with you so that you can choose what is best for you and your baby. Asking for a second opinion can be helpful too! . This amazing photo shows a baby with ‘temporary breech legs.’ A baby that has had it’s legs in this position for 9 months is probably very likely to prefer this position for a few day’s after birth too! Whilst breech legs usually self-resolve, all babies who have been in a breech position should be offered an ultrasound scan of their hips at 6 weeks of age. . . 01.01.2022 Just to continue on with the breech theme This is my baby 20 years ago. Still sleeping in a folded over position at 15 months because of sitting breech while he was in the womb.... I didn’t realise he could still do that so long after birth until I got out my scrapbook to check the photo. Bodies are amazing things, aren’t they! #breechbirth #cesareanbreechbirth #vaginalbreechbirth #clickyhips #hipbrace #mumlove
