15.01.2022 LIVE CORONAVIRUS UPDATE | 3pm Monday 16 November

14.01.2022 It's been an incredibly difficult week on our West Coast, as efforts have continued to respond to the tragic whale stranding. On behalf of all Tasmanians, I want to thank those who have assisted in the rescue efforts. It's been a huge effort and one which will continue for a while yet.

14.01.2022 Once again we’ve seen incredible demand for the second round of Make Yourself at Home travel vouchers, which opened for registrations at 7pm tonight. Around 35,000 people or about one in 15 Tasmanians logged on to register for a voucher, and we thank Tasmanians for their patience as the website and phone lines dealt with the significant demand. The second round of registrations have now closed having been fully subscribed. Online registrations were fully subscribed in jus...t over an hour and the phone lines are now also closed. I know Tasmanians who missed out will be disappointed, but this initiative is about supporting our tourism and hospitality industry and it's been supported by Tasmanians in droves, and for those who did miss out, I’d urge you still to get out and support the industry if you are able.

12.01.2022 Keeping Tasmanians safe has been our number one priority during COVID-19 and it will continue to be our priority as we move towards relaxing our border restrictions. Today I announced that we plan to open to low risk COVID states from 26 October. We've been working hard to prepare, but we need all Tasmanians to keep on top of COVID by following some simple rules.

11.01.2022 Keeping on top of COVID takes team work, so please remember the golden rules so we can keep Tasmania safe and keep doing the things we love!
