23.01.2022 THANK YOU THURSDAY TO OUR MEMBERS, GUESTS, SOCIAL FRIENDS, FOLLOWERS AND FAMILY, PLEASE READ THE MESSAGE BELOW AND SHARE OUR GIFT ACROSS THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO WORKS AS A HEALTH PROFESSIONAL OR WORKS ACROSS THE EMERGENCY SERVICES - PLEASE PASS THIS ON TODAY.... WE BELIEVE THE BEST WAY TO STRENGTHEN OUR FRONT-LINE COMMUNITY MEMBERS MENTAL HEALTH IS TO GET THEM OUT IN OPEN SPACE FOR A FEW HOURS WITH A COLLEAGUE OR CLOSE FAMILY MEMBER. NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT AND GIVE BACK.... THANK YOU THURSDAY ________________________________________________ MEDIA RELEASE THANKYOU THURSDAY Improving Mental Wellness for Front-Line Staff The Pine Rivers Golf Club is giving back to essential service workers by allocating a special complimentary golf day each week for our front-line health and emergency workers. Commencing Thursday 9th April, Health and Emergency Workers can play 9 holes of golf with a colleague or one immediate family member including a golf cart for a gold coin donation of $2.00. The club recognises how privileged they are to have an opportunity to share the beautiful open spaces with those that are often restricted to working indoors for long hours. The Captain of Pine Rivers Golf Club, Byron Smith said, Our business is already under extreme duress and like many businesses, will not survive in the medium term unless we can engage with our community and share our open spaces. Like many businesses, we have placed our creditors on hold and stood down 90% of our staff. We are the lucky ones because other local sporting codes and businesses have lost their participation rights. We feel an obligation to promote fellowship and improve companionship amongst our members and community. The positive metal health benefits to playing golf are enormous and we hope that other clubs will follow our lead today. The club is open to members only but will extend this to Health and Emergency Service Staff and one immediate family member from Thursday 9th April 2020. How do you make a booking? Contact the Club: (07) 3285 3130. Address: 245 Narangba Road, Kurwongbah Provide identification at check-in Booking times: 8am 2pm Maximum Booking is for 2 people. We will provide a cart for each player Arrive 15 min before booking times. *You must make a booking before attending the club. * Dress code - Collar Shirt, Closed shoes, Smart Casual
