12.01.2022 We are launching a new Disability Awareness Campaign in which we are celebrating and highlighting awareness surrounding disabilities in the workplace. Tourette Syndrome (TS) is highlighted for the month of May campaign. What is Tourette Syndrome? Learn more by clicking the ink here. https://www.pesau.net.au/what-is-tourette-syndrome/... Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a condition of the nervous system. TS causes people to have tics.Tics are sudden twitches, movements, or sounds that people do repeatedly. People who have tics cannot stop their body from doing these things. Having tics is a little bit like having hiccups. Even though you might not want to hiccup, your body does it anyway. Sometimes people can stop themselves from doing a certain tic for a while, but its hard. Eventually, the person has to do the tic.#tourettesyndrome #tourettes #tourette #tourettesyndromeawareness #tourettesyndromeawarenessmonth #tourettesyndromeawarenessweek #tics #disabilityemploymentservices #prestigeemploymentsolutions

12.01.2022 We are launching a special edition focusing on increasing awareness around Assistance Dogs in both our community and workplace. One of the common questions being asked about is whether a therapy dog is the same as a service dog. Each of these dogs have very different jobs from the others and the terms are not interchangeable. #assistantdog #therapydog #assistantdogawareness Learn more https://www.pesau.net.au/the-difference-between-a-service-/

05.01.2022 Today, the 3rd of December is the United Nations' International Day for People with Disability (IDPwD), a day to increase awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability. This year’s UN sanctioned theme is ‘Building back better: inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 world’. Let’s build back better in Australia. There’s genuine enthusiasm to take bolder actions to be more inclusive and specifically to find ways to recruit more people with disabi...lity. It's only the first step to recruit people with disability, we all need to contribute to the creation of welcoming and inclusive workplace experiences. More than inclusion, we all want to feel that we belong. That every voice is heard. Where we value and adjust for differences. Today, specially, we celebrate differences. COVID-19 has taught us to be more flexible and adaptable, to connect with each other often, and to make sure that adaptations work for everyone. Everyone. On this day, who will you be talking with, planning with, and including in your discussions so that we can ‘Build back better? #Internationaldayforpeoplewithdisability #IDPwD #inclusive #diversitymatters #diversityandinclusion #letsbuildback Learn more https://www.pesau.net.au/international-day-of-people-with-/

03.01.2022 Great job Rhys! we're so proud of what you've achieved through the traineeship. Big thanks to Kidz Foodz team for all you do for the community!!

01.01.2022 Do you know that OCD and Anxiety are some of the most commonly acknowledged mental health disorders but at times this awareness actually gives sufferers less visibility and recognition. How many of you are guilty of sentences like that’s just my OCD playing up when referring to something that displeases us like a crooked picture? Or treating regular nerves as something more serious. This actually diminishes from the recognition of people who are struggling with mental health conditions and the normalisation is undermining the reason for building awareness in the first place. So what is the difference? https://lnkd.in/ex4mP6d #anxietyawareness #ocdawareness #mentalhealthawareness
