04.01.2022 REPOST from our Director Maryjane Mckibbin Schwenke: We are both the same age, States apart she is in Victoria, Lesieli is Tongan however her great great grandm...other is Samoan she joined my online Siva Samoa classes nine weeks ago to learn to Siva and connect with her Samoan roots. I’ve taken great pride to help find out more about her Samoan side which connects her to the Fuimaono clan. I am grateful for this gift of making friends with amazing warrior women like Lesieli, they come to learn from me and yet they have helped and inspired me as much in return. Thought to share this video dancing alongside Lesieli. She is shy but I convinced her to allow me to share not only to show her amazing Siva skills but to pay homage to our Ancestors, our grandmothers who still guide and influence us today.
