19.01.2022 Here's a nice car. FJ45 LandCruiser with 5.7l Chev LS engine installed. It was a well engineered conversion, and the whole package including brakes and steering seemed to be improved as a result.

18.01.2022 Sigmatech achieved a milestone on Thursday when we established our new premises at 31 Queen Street, Melbourne. We will still be spending 2-3 days per week doing onsite inspections, but now we have a corporate location to work as a team.

18.01.2022 Project SSV Update - we have a hitch. With all of the Supercharger kits advertised for LS engines, and generally force feeding us to go out and buy one (get it), it seems that the brands that I have contacted don't offer them with emissions certification. In this case, they would be illegal to use on the road and would probably void your insurance cover. Strangely, this doesn't make them illegal to sell in Australia. The next best option is to either talk a supplier into wor...king with me to go through a test program or find a comparative certification from a US vehicle. I have found a supplier that seems interested, so stay tuned.

18.01.2022 The Nissan Elgrand. Built in Japan as an eight seater over three rows of seats, these cars have the middle seats removed, and are sent to Australia as a four seater camper van. The importer then throws the middle seats into the deal, the stove is binned, and suddenly owners front up for an engineers report to create a seven seater (like they thought they bought in the first place). A customer approached me with the motivation to do it right, and we worked it out. Two in the ...front, three in the second row, and two in the rear row, some changes to seatbelts, a few locking devices, and everything is compliant. The result in one excellent luxury cruiser.

14.01.2022 The North Western Victoria tour is on again. We leave Melbourne Friday May 11 in the morning, and arrive in Mildura Friday evening for a weekend of inspections and visits. It's not too late to book some time (anywhere along our route), so send us a message if you have a need for Sigmatech's services on your modified vehicle project.
