01.01.2022 From the Producer of "The Silver Brumby" Movie and Cartoon Series. Thank you Judy Malmgren VALE BLONDIE... 18 November 1987- 18 February 2020 Born in Tamworth, NSW and destined to be a superstar on the silver screen, Blondie began her career learning the ropes from a skilled and talented horsemaster Evanne. She was a fast learner had to be because development, training and pre-production on the film The Silver Brumby was a rushed affair. Evanne knew then she had an intelligent, devoted all-rounder who could cope with the stresses of filming under strange and sometimes difficult circumstances. Over nearly three months of intense filming in the High Country, Blondie never let Evanne or the film crew down. Never lame, never sick, always ready for the cue-Evanne’s piercing call Blondieee! Blondie bought the legend of Elyne Mitchell’s Silver Brumby to life on screen and became a legend in her own right, performing her brumby gallops across the stage at the Sydney Royal Show to the delight of the night time audiences. The Silver Brumby movie has been screened all across the world and remains a favourite horse movie everywhere. Blondie’s one and only foal was a buckskin named Bel Bel (after Thowra’s dam) to a Friesian stallion Tao. Bel Bel herself is now in foal to Nemo, a buckskin pure Lusitano, ensuring Blondie’s genes carry on in to the future. Evanne and Bruce would like to thank everyone who sent their condolences via Facebook, email and phone. It is the end of an era.
