21.01.2022 Chasing Stars To The Mother Tree is the debut release from Yulugi, a fresh collaboration between Gamilaroi and Wakka Wakka man Gumaroy Newman and British-Australian composer Keyna Wilkins: Composer/Musician launching on Wednesday 28 October at LazyBones Lounge Restaurant & Bar. The launch double bill will also feature the Jeremy Rose Quartet, with Jeremy Rose, tenor saxophone, Steve Barry, piano; Noel Mason, bass; and Alex Hirlian, drums. With a lineup of some of Sydney’s best jazz artists, this is a night not to be missed.

Two exceptionally special groups led by Gai Bryant will be performing live at the Australian Institute of Music's John Painter Hall. Located at the Joynton Avenue Creative Centre in Zetland we can't wait to see The Sonic Drops perform this Friday the 29th of January for the opening show. Founded by Jared Underwood, The Sonic Drops bring together the rhythms of reggae to the improvisation and communication of jazz for a beautiful fusion of the genre's. With the other members Al Goodman and Abel Cross all being incredibly well respected musicians in their own right it is sure to be a night to remember.

In an article from the Sydney Morning Herald, 13 May 1987, jazz critic Gail Brennan wrote: "Mark Simmond's Freeboppers devastated the Basement with an unbroken hour-and-a-half of rhythm and fire."
