25.01.2022 While we are not able to open to the public we continue our work, with all the appropriate safety requirements in place, to restore our beautiful heritage building. This week the spectacular Chandelier Bar in Marble Hall is getting a makeover. The Chandelier baubles are carefully taken down, one by one and will be transformed to give it a new lease on life. Wish us luck the baubles make the journey safely and return in one (or 2,050) pieces!

24.01.2022 Today were giving a huge shout out to all our people who have been doing essential work during our shutdown. Security who are regularly checking in on our kitchens, outlets and back of house areas, Building Services who are looking after our power rooms and facilities, IT who are working on expansion projects, the Expansion Team keeping those projects moving and People and Culture who are even watering our plants! When asked what he enjoys the most in his role, he says It is always much more enjoyable working to prevent injuries rather than reacting to them. 23.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago, Jimmy, Nathan and Brett from our SkyCity Hamilton team in New Zealand set out for a massive day of cycling, sausage sizzling and charming pedestrians into helping them raise money for the South Australian Volunteer Firefighters. Their plan was to exhaust themselves by taking 30-minute turns cycling on exercise bikes for a full 24 hours! At 6am Saturday 25th January they finished cycling, hitting their target at 1am but persevered for the full 24 hours... and all up raising $5,860 which will go directly to the volunteer firefighters. They were visited by a few people during the day/night including the Samoan Sevens team, the Australian Sevens team, Olympic gold medallist Emma Twig and Sir Gordon Teitjens, just to name a few. They sold over 800 sausages, 600 raffle tickets and cycled all up 8 hours each on the exercise bike. Huge thanks to our SkyCity family in Hamilton we appreciate your support and well done on your fantastic effort! #WorkYourMagic
