22.01.2022 What a big week it’s been at Tatura for the Templeton family and today was so very worth all of their time, dedication and commitment to their cows. They are the proud owners and exhibitors of the International Dairy Week 2020 Grand Champion Cow. Avonlea Reginald Jacobina. Jacobina was also the Champion Holstein cow and winner of the six year old in milk class. On behalf of us all congratulations, Bruce, Jan, Matt and Nicola we are all so proud of you on this mighty achieve...ment. 21.01.2022 This Friday marks the end of an era, for Peter and Wilma MacKay of Arnum Holsteins as they disperse their Master Breeder herd. Peter and Wilma, have spent the last 40 years building their herd and the cows have produced very well for them during this time. The sale will be held at the Warragul Saleyards at 11am, on Friday 8 May, agents are Alex Scott and Staff - Livestock and the sale will be streamed via StockLive.... Selling will be :- - 235 High Production backed Holsteins - 19 Breeders, selection of unjoined heifers - 25 Entire 2020 drop bucket calves. 17.01.2022 The final day of judging in the Semex Australia Holstein Australia On Farm competition will commence at 7am tomorrow at the White family farm. Followed by Templetons at 8.30am and Harrisons at 10am.

17.01.2022 How is everyone going in these crazy times? Remember we are not alone, call out to someone if you need a hand or even an ear to chat to....we are all in this together. The Annual General Meeting of the sub branch is scheduled to be held next Tuesday 28 July at Bairs Hotel in Leongatha, commencing at 7.30pm. Counter meals will be available from 6.45pm. COVID19 restrictons will be applied and if you are unwell, have been to one of the lockdown areas, please respect fellow membe...rs and don't attend. General business will include, election of office bearers for the coming year, Semex on farm, Korumburra Show and presentation of the Presidents Cup. All stay safe and healthy and see you next week.

07.01.2022 On behalf of the sub branch I would like to thank all those who entered the Semex Australia Holstein Australia 2019 On Farm Challenge. Over the three days of judging we visited 14 farms from Yarram to Lang Lang, our judge Chris Gleeson scored 140 cows that were entered by 16 exhibitors. Congratulation to you all and thank you for allowing us onto your farms and to look at your cows.... I would also like to thank Chris Gleeson from Elm Banks Holsteins, for taking the time out of his busy schedule and away from his family and coming from Western Victoria to judge the competition for us. 04.01.2022 Here is an awesome opportunity for the youth in our sub branch. Matt and Nicola Templeton are holding a Gippsland Dairy Youth Training Day at their property on Sunday 15 December. This is an all breeds training day open to all ages and abilities interested in dairy judging, clipping and leading and will be a selection event into the IDW Gippsland Youth Challenge teams. 03.01.2022 Well done to all those who exhibited at yesterdays Korumburra Show. It was great to see so many junior handlers taking part with their calves. Special thanks to Olivia Millhouse, who was our judge, for accepting our invitation and for travelling across from Tasmanina. Thanks also to Luke Russell, for being the ring announcer and keeping things running very smoothly. It was great to see a good crowd in attendance while the judging was taking place, thankfully the weather was k...ind to us all this year. 03.01.2022 Lot 7 in the World Wide Sires Evolution Sale selling this Wednesday 22 January, during International Dairy Week is this classy youngster from the Jones family. Here are some of her details. She is ranked in the top 20 genomic breed females in the country with a new BPI of 365.... Her dam Gorbro Doorman Tiffany classified VG87 on her second lactation and has milked more than 4% fat and protein on every lactation Her grand dam Orchard Vale Informer Tiffany was the 2019 Holstein Australia Cow of the year, she is a 21 star brood cow and Semex Australia On Farm Challenge winner. Very impressive that's for sure. If you would like to take Tiffany home, make sure you bid last on Wednesday night.
