05.05.2022 ACA Golden Anniversary National Finals Program 2022
29.04.2022 Here’s cheers to Casey, Pam, Pos, Dan, Stacey & all their helpers!! I’m sure we can all agree the Ariat Cut-Out Bar was an absolute hit. Prime position for spectators, creating an atmosphere day and night. In the planning stages of the cut-out bar Dan & Stacey Bauer threw their hands up and said we’ll make a bar!. Make it they did, we think they absolutely nailed it. Specially engineered to make relocation into the marquee for the Presentation Dinner a breeze. Thoughtfully... finished with brands in recognition of each of the cattle donors. One less thing for our brilliant Bar Managing duo Casey Mcgrath & Pamela Pulford to worry about. We all know they were kept extremely busy all week and did a fantastic job yet again. Thanks also goes to Maryanne Powell for backing up Casey during the week, a formidable team! Love your work guys

27.03.2022 The Foundation Cup Open was everything we were hoping for with 669 first round runs, the best horses and competitors all having a crack at the $50,000 prizemoney pool The scores speak for themselves here the cattle were unreal, the horses were on point and the horsemen and women were riding tough all week and in the end it was Adrian Lamb riding Playgirl who won with a whopping 275 points (First Round 90 Second Round 91.5 Final 93.5) Congratulations to Adrian an...d all of the placegetters. You needed an average of three 90's to even get a ribbon, now that's impressive Thanks once again to the generosity of our Founding members for donating toward the Foundation Cup Open Campdraft. This draft was a nod towards the contribution the Founding members and their families have made to campdrafting and we are sure that each person involved today appreciates the vision that was held back in 1972. The Foundation Cup will take residence with Adrian Lamb and a second cup will make its home at the ACA office in Roma and we're proud that the Founding members will be eternally recognised by this To our trophy sponsors, we thank you and appreciate your contribution. 11.03.2022 Well we knew the cattle were running well and the grounds were in top shape all week, but when the CQ Helicopter Restricted Open first round finished and you needed a 91 or better to make the final, that really cemented just how good the drafting was In the end, it was Shari Knudsen riding Cruzin One Time in first place after a cracking 93 pointer in the finals - it was a 67 horsework run and deserved every single point Thanks so very much to CQ Helicopters for spons...oring the Restricted Open. To Louise and Tony Prentice, your continued support of our events is truly appreciated Thank-you also to the generosity of our trophy sponsors: Rodann Cowhorses sponsoring a Gold Cup AND a service fee to Rodann Destiny Chex to the winner Tony and Penny Kehl sponsoring a trophy rug for the runner-up Travers Farming Co sponsoring an Eddie Fisher trophy knife for the cut-out winner Gidgee Eyes sponsoring sunglasses to the runner up and second runner up Ariat sponsoring caps and jackets for finalists

19.01.2022 The Australian Campdraft Association (ACA) advise the cessation of all campdraft events, nationwide, until further notice. This decision was handed down by the ...National Campdraft Council of Australia (NCCA) and includes the CQ Campdraft ACA National Finals that were planned to be held in Nebo next month. ACA supports NCCA’s direction, and are of the belief that it would be irresponsible to condone activities that may or may not contravene the public health directive. Campdrafting, as with many other sports, is non-essential. Furthermore, campdrafting is held in remote areas, but draws competitors and attendees from very broad geographic locations. Whilst we are aware that the Federal Government has directed event organisers to cease any events where over 500 people are expected to attend, ACA supports NCCA’s cessation of all campdrafts, regardless of size. In doing so, ACA have considered the already limited resources available to our regional health care centres and the originating population from which competitors & attendees are drawn. ACA consider that continuing to operate in light of these factors would be inconsiderate, and disregarding the best medical & government advice available. This decision will be reviewed at the 1 May 2020, with further information to be released after this date.

Al...l 4 associations agreed to cancel their events. The NCCA will continue to monitor the situation and make further recommendations accordingly. 08.01.2022 A message from Codie Law - NCCA President, Recently, the Northern Territory government announced a 3 Phase plan to lift restrictions. Each Phase clearly outline...s which activities will be permitted and the guidelines aligned to these. Accordingly, the NCCA met recently and have agreed to allow the relevant Associations to begin planning for a return to Campdrafting in the NT. The Associations will liaise directly with NT committees for campdraft events to begin again in June for NT residents only. It is our plan, that as each State or Territory makes changes, the relevant Association advise their committees of new time frames and requirements for running events post COVID 19. I encourage all Campdraft members to be patient and to strictly adhere to guidelines put in place in each State and the hosting committees.
