25.01.2022 Well, here's one of the best insights for anyone looking to sit a drive test... the first 2 to 3 weeks of January are the BEST time to consider doing it! Seriously. Schools are all on holidays, a ton of people are away, there's hardly any traffic, the city is in a good mood, and everything is so very quiet! A drive test in the first 2 - 3 weeks of the year is ideal, seriously. Merry merry jolly season to all.

20.01.2022 Just had my first manual lesson with James after 3 auto lessons. I was quite nervous starting on a manual but James made the experience safe and very enjoyable. He has excellent knowledge and an enormous amount of patience so I strongly recommend him as an instructor

18.01.2022 One of the most common questions that we are asked relates to what to use as a reference when learning how to drive. Unbelievably, there aren't all that many! The three in this photo are the primary ones. And here's a question for the most astute... On pg 30 of the Road To Solo Driving there is the classic graph representing danger on the road relative to years after licensing.... There is an absolutely glaring inaccuracy in this graph. There is a prize of a Freddo Frog for any present student of our school who can pick it. Drive safe, and stress-free, of course of course. See more

13.01.2022 For some people doing an intensive and focused course of training works best. When many of us start a new job, for instance, there is a concentrated day or two of training and then we are given the full responsibilities within that job. The StressFree Driving School offers, perhaps, the only avenue similar to this, when it comes to learning how to drive. Today we had the latest beneficiary of such training. Yesterday a young man with ability undertook the whole day program an...d had his drive test this morning. In Carlton. He passed. And he drove exceptionally well. The whole day approach is not necessarily ideal for everyone but it gives a student the opportunity to establish fantastic technique, under continuous expert guidance, in a continuous fashion instead of bit by bit, week by week. If a 1hr driving lesson happens in a day with a thousand other pressures for the student the wisdoms in it can be a little transient. The end result of a capable, knowledgable and safe driver is ultimately what we aim for, true, but the path to being that doesn't have to be... conventional. Cheers, James See more

09.01.2022 In The Age newspaper today we have such an explicit, honest quote from Monash University that clearly shows the contempt that a small handful of individuals has for us as human beings simply being able to travel unmolested. The two individuals from Monash should be fired, in my opinion. But there are other ways to maintain sanity... Please share this post as far and wide as possible, that's the first step.

So, which countries drive on the left, which countries drive on the right side of the road, and looking at the map below, I wonder how the World would react if we decided to change? 04.01.2022 I'm currently learning with James and have found his approach to teaching and endless patience very refreshing and reassuring. I've gained confidence driving in... all situations and on some of the largest, scariest roads I wouldn't have dreamed of driving on months ago. I've already reccomended Stress Free Driving School to friends and would definitely continue to do so. See more

02.01.2022 This video is pretty awesome for a few different reasons. Firstly, I have driven around many English towns like this one, and it's quite different and enjoyable for many of us from here. I will leave it to my Carlton students to reflect if their testing ground is harder or easier. But the one thing that freaks me out about this video, above all else, is how often this tester (driving instructor??) needs to look into the eyes of her student!
