Celebrating the beginning of spring and the launch of spring/summer 20 collections, the street level windows, ground floor and Level 7 have been transformed into a botanical paradise, complete with stunning floral arrangements courtesy of long-time David Jones Spring Flower Show collaborator George Low of Seed Flora. A polychromatic scheme was chosen with tension between the colours explored and applied differently for each design. 15.01.2022 Certificate IV from TAFE NSW - Padstow were required to complete a brief as a "small creative team" to create a range of prototypes for a client under the guidance of their teacher Samantha Harper. The students were then required to research and develop supportive materials and complete a coaching exercise with another team member. The team member needed to be suitably trained to complete the task to an appropriate standard. The class excelled and learnt a lot about the skills required to supervise and coach others. Well done! Duc being a past student of Ultimo TAFE showed the students different designs using different construction techniques that was taught while studying at Ultimo. Duc being the talented florist he is, currently working in industry and still enters competitions.
