25.01.2022 13/9 Stableford event was won by Abbas, the run down went to Des, Paul, Shane, Ben and Dunc. Abbas recently joined up and this weeks event saw his handicap go from 27 to 16!! Hopefully a few more cards will sort his handicap out. Pin shots went to Tim on #3, Di on #7 and Ian on #12. 20/09 The first of our monthly medal qualifying events. The ladies event was won by Di with a 71/66. Qualifiers are Di, Andrea, Shannon and Terri. The mens event was won by Des with a 67/65. Qualifiers are Des, Ben, Paul and Bruce. The ball run down went to Ben, Paul, Bruce, Geoff and Andrea. Pin shots were Des on #3, Geraldine on #7, Di on #12 and Longy on #15. Handicapper gave Phil and Abbas a stroke back and took one from Bruce and Di. Next week is another stroke event with four qualifying for the MM. Nominate 12:30 for a 1PM hitoff.

21.01.2022 With the year end fast approaching decisions were made last night on the club championships. * Flags will go back in for Sunday golf and be sanitized as the same as the rake. * cups will be attached to the flag, carry a spoon to clean out hole for replacement of cup and flag. 15.01.2022 Very testing weekend of golf.

15.01.2022 Cold, wet and windy conditions on Sunday did not deter 11 players. Winner on the day in a combined mens/ladies comp was Warwick member Jared with 66 nett. The run down went to Ben, Tim, Andrea, Ian and Shane. Pin shots went to Des on 3 and Andrea snapped up the ladies hens nest of 19 cards on 7 with a 3310mm putt for birdie. Handicapper managed to take 1.0 off Jared's GA. His playing partner, Ben also lost a stroke off his daily H/C taking him down to 2. Next week is a 4 Ball stableford with a twist. Partners will be drawn at the end of the day and scores tallied to determine winners.

13.01.2022 Tail winds, head winds, cold winds, a misty shower; all great conditions for golf . Winners of our 4B drawn partners were awarded at the end the days play to Shan and Longy on 63 points. A vice Captain's challenge for a recount was successful and Phil and Nick on 65 (not 55) were then presented with the trophy. The run down went to Shan/Longy, Geoff/Des 62, Ben/Andrea 60, Dave/Terri 59, Tim/Shane 58. Pin shots went to Paul on 3 and Di on 7.

11.01.2022 Back 9 eclectic played on August 2 was won by Phil with 28.5 nett and Joan with 32.5 nett. Our combined run down went to Nick, Bruce, Des, Ian and Geoff. Surprise pin shots went to Bruce on 12 and Ian on 15.

09.01.2022 Winners for Sunday were Tim with a 68 gross, 67 nett. Runner up was Ian on a countback from Phil. For the ladies Andrea came in with 76 gross 73 nett, Joan was runner up. The handicapper was kind to Andrea, giving her a stroke back. Not so kind to Phil, Ian and Tim - all lost one stroke. Tim is pretty chuffed to be playing off zero. Congratulations to all our winners. Sunday will be a V's Par event.

As the school holidays are upon us I remind all members and visitors using the golf course to abide by our COVID safety plan, this is displayed on windows around the clubhouse and details of "play protocols" on the table at the door. 04.01.2022 At the meeting last night it was decided to defer all club championships until later in the year. Until restrictions on cups, flags, border closures and catering are lifted we felt it was in the best interest and fairness for all members. At this stage our Open day is also in limbo, we'll see what July throws at us. This weekend will be a 9 hole eclectic, front 9. Tee times have been pushed to after 12. Please contact Di.
