21.01.2022 On Thursday 9 July Brascos Parables Volume 2 will be opened by Rev. James Shaw at The Grey Area. Brascos Parables Volume 2 is Paul Theobalds, under the guise of B.B.Brasco, second solo exhibition. The stories behind B.B.Brascos work are based in fantasy but the imagery is a physical reflection of turmoil inside and out. Every creature B.B.Brasco draws represents some form of ill human condition, whether that is mental illness or physical deformity. Exploring how the human presence ends but lifes true nature remains the same. Paul paints, sculpts and writes stories of the post apocalyptic inclination. He hand makes everything in his exhibitions from the resin concoctions that he forms his sculptures out of, to the Tasmanian Oak frames that skirt his paintings.

19.01.2022 Introducing 'Departures' designers...lighting designer -Ilan El Ilan was born in Tel Aviv and grew up to admire and be inspired by its international style archi...tecture, mostly known as Bauhaus. After graduating from the School of Architecture in Tel Aviv University, Ilan launched a multi-disciplinary design studio specialising in interior, exhibition and product design. Ilan was constantly drawn towards the way design affects people and the ability as a designer, to create spatial experiences. 12 years ago Ilan was lured to Melbourne for its cultural vibe and joined the Masters program at RMIT University where he specialised in Experiential illumination. Ilan explores the spatial relationships light creates within the built environment and ways to harness illumination for a better wellbeing.
