22.01.2022 What a lovely morning with these two, we went on a nature treasure hunt! Using some cardboard and elastic bands, the children made their own nature boards. 19.01.2022 5 minute crafts We rescued some cardboard from the recycling, added some string, sticky tape and stickers.... tah-dah! A new train! This created almost an hour of engaged play ... One of my favorite parts of building crafts with recycled objects with kids is seeing their eyes light up as the creation starts taking form. I talk through the process of what we are making and always get the kids involved in some way, even if they are too young to build it, I will envole them in simple tasks such as holding or passing objects. How cute is having a little one jumping up and down saying "das my trainnnn" and passing me the next "carriage" to get added. Once completed I like to encourage the kids to decorate it how they like. In this case he was so excited to add all his stickers to his train. This was so quick and easy to make, costs nothing, and can be recycled again when interest is gone.
