20.01.2022 All games this week will be played at home with our North West Senior Youth girls kicking off at 6:00 pm tonight against Burnie. United. F.C. (Soccer) and then again at 8:30 against Devonport Strikers. Saturday morning starts off with both our North West Youth teams playing against each other at 9:00am, which will be a fun yet competitive game. The Reserves have been showing great improvement as a team recently and are looking to finally secure their first win when they kick ...off against Launceston City FC at 10:00am. The Seniors are looking to leap frog their way up the ladder this week with a win against Launceston City FC, they kick off at 12:00pm and are looking to come out of the gates hard and fast. The Northern Women will kick off at 12:00pm against Launceston City FC and are looking to claim their first points of the season. The Under 16s kick off at 2:15pm and will be looking to break through the strong defence of Launceston City FC who are yet to concede a goal this year and earn another win that would see them move towards the top of the ladder. Finally at 2:15 our WSL team will be in the hunt for their first win of the season against ladder leaders Clarence Zebras FC which should prove to be great match to watch. As usual for this season there will be one main entrance and exit for players and spectators, this is to ensure that we are able to count people as they enter and exit the premises in line with Covid-19 requirements. There will also be signage around the grounds reminding people to maintain a social distance, and hand sanitiser will be strategically placed around the venue for peoples use. GO YOU REDS

20.01.2022 Kicking off this weeks games we have our North West Youth and North West Senior Youth Girls travelling to Valley Road tonight. First up at 6:15 we have Ulverstone Black who are hungry to get their first taste of points this season. Then we have the Girls who will play Burnie. United. F.C. (Soccer) and then Devonport Strikers back to back at 7:15pm and 8:30pm respectively. The girls are looking to continue their dominate form that has kept them undefeated so far this season.... For our other North West Youth team Ulverstone Red, they will have to wait till 9:00am Saturday morning to play but they will be planning to use the home ground advantage to apply pressure to Burnie. United. F.C. (Soccer) and produce an upset. Starting off the day versus Somerset Sharks official we have our under 18s kick off at 10:00am, they are looking fresh and rested after their BYE week and a win would increase the pressure on those few teams sitting above them on the ladder. Reserves are in the hunt for their first win of the season when they kick off at 12:00pm and will not be satisfied if they have to share the points. The Northern Women are heading into this weeks game with the intention of keeping Somerset beneath them on the ladder and taking all the points for themselves, kick off is at 2:15pm. To round out the games at Somerset we have the Seniors kicking off at 2:15, they asserted their dominance last week and are carrying that momentum through to this week. A win would rockets them towards the top of the ladder and would indicate loud and clear to everyone that they are one of the teams to beat this year. We now head to the other end of the state where we see our WSL team travel all the way to Darcy Street to take on South Hobart Football Club at 2:00pm, they are looking to continue to show the southern teams that they are not to be taken lightly and that even when not at home they will bring it to the competition and plan on celebrating their win all the way home. GO YOU REDS

19.01.2022 Who feels like Chicken tonight? Because thats what we have on the menu for our Thursday Night Player Teas. From 6:30 tonight we will be serving a delicious chicken and chip combo with an amazing coleslaw side dish. For dessert we have some yummy Jelly and Custard to complete your dining experience.... As a bonus to families to help feed all those hungry mouths we will be offering a special Meal Deal where you can get 4 combos for the price of 3 :O

18.01.2022 This weekend sees all our teams hitting the road. Tonight we have the Junior Girls travelling to Montello to take on Devonport Strikers at 7:15pm and then straight away they play Burnie United FC at 8:30pm. With only a few games left in the season the girls are sitting comfortably on top of the ladder and are looking to complete the season undefeated. On Saturday the majority of the Reds travel North to compete against Launceston City FC ... Starting of the day we have the Northern Women at 10am and the girls are still looking for that first win of the season. Next up we have the reserves at 12pm and like the women the boys are also looking for their first win of the season. At 2:15pm our under 16s will take on the ladder leaders, but they have not been proven to be unbeatable so they boys are looking to take the points and continue to climb the ladder in the second half of the season. To finish off the day we have our Seniors kicking off at 2:15pm, the boys are breathing heavily down the neck of the ladder leader and a win would further strengthen their position on the ladder. Sunday sees our WSL travelling all the way to Darcy Street to take on South Hobart Football Club, the girls have been training hard and are planning to stay on track and continue to beat teams like South Hobart who they previously drew against. The club would also like to preemptively congratulate Mikalha George on her 50th Super League game on the weekend. EDIT: There is some bonus content in the comments GO YOU REDS!!

17.01.2022 Great results all round this week for our Juniors. The Girls continued their undefeated streak this season with a 5-0 win against Devonport and a 2-0 win against Burnie. Not to be left out of the spotlight Ulverstone Red were able to come off the ground with their heads held high after keeping the ladder leaders Devonport to a 2 all draw.... All these great results must have really fired up Ulverstone Black as they convincingly defeated Somerset 5-0 with some magnificent set piece work and brilliant teamwork. Well done to all our Juniors and the clubs future looks very promising with this kind of talent working their way up through the club. Little bit of magic in the comments section I reccomend everyone watches GO YOU REDS!!

17.01.2022 There will be no youth girls training on tonight

15.01.2022 Unfortunately the canteen wont be available for the next few weeks due to unavailability of staff due to illness, we do however recommend getting your morning coffee fix and food from La Barista Cafe which is located near the show grounds grounds on Queen St. Ice and first aid is still available from club personnel on the day.

15.01.2022 Irrisys came onboard as a major Club sponsor in 2019, and continued into 2020 as our Platinum Club Sponsor, which is greatly appreciated by all members of the Ulverstone Soccer Club. For those not familiar with the business, Irrisys provides a wide range of industrial automation and process control solutions throughout Australia, including projects with the mining and agricultural industry. They pride themselves on first class professional service to their customers, and we are thankful for the support of Damien and the team in 2020 and into the future.

14.01.2022 The Ulverstone Soccer Club would like to thank the Tasmanian Government for their support through the Covid-19 Sports and Recreation Grant. This has allowed us to provide signage to ensure social distancing, suitable hand sanitising services and appropriate cleaning equipment, all of which contributes to the safety for our players and patrons.

Bar faculties will also be available from 7:30pm

11.01.2022 Ryan, Erryn and the team at Top Cut Welding & Maintenance jumped onboard in 2020 as a Platinum Supporter of the Ulverstone Soccer Club, supplying brand new Dugouts to replace our previous ones damaged by heavy winds in 2019. Previously established in Devonport providing garden maintenance, the business moved to Ulverstone and transitioned into building and fabrication on an industrial scale, ranging from handrail installation to grain silo production. We thank Ryan and Erryn for their support and look forward to the debut of their boys in junior soccer soon.

11.01.2022 Fundraiser for one of our own" On the weekend against Devonport, Aaron Shurley suffered an extremely bad injury in the reserves warm up. He ended up breaking his ankle and the bottom of the tibia and fibula. He went into surgery on Sunday where the surgeons put in some plates and screws to begin the healing process. This injury will keep him on the sideline for quite some time. To help Aaron through some tough battles ahead there is a raffle organised amongst other in-club f...undraising to take the pressure off him and his family. We would like to thank the following businesses for their amazing support and generosity. Goodstone Group have donated 4 main course gift vouchers valid for 12 months. Leven River Cruises have donated a 2-hour cruise for 2 people. Sportspower Ulverstone have donated a pack which includes a drink bottle, junior pair of socks and a female sleeveless performance top. Ken Orr Trout Expeditions have donated a 1-day trout fishing guide with Wayne Turale in the central highlands. Ultra Football have donated a $50 gift voucher. Ulverstone Dominos have donated 2 x $20 food vouchers. Beach Beat in Ulverstone have donated a $20 gift voucher. Northern Futsal have donated a futsal ball. All these items (Valued at over $500) will be in the one raffle with tickets going for $5 each. The draw will be after the AFL game on Saturday night 5th September between North Melbourne and Port Adelaide. For club members they can be purchased at the club rooms Thursday or Saturday night. For the general public please contact Nathan on 0427272377 or [email protected]. We wish Aaron a speedy recovery and hope to see him back at full strength in no time. Again, thank you to everyone for their kindness and support. GO YOU REDS!

10.01.2022 Tonight our undefeated North West Senior Youth Girls will head over to Montello tonight to play Burnie. United. F.C. (Soccer) at 6:00pm and then straight after they play Devonport Strikers at 7:15pm. It is looking like it will be a cold, wet and most likely muddy affair but our girls should be able to handle the conditions and extend their undefeated streak. Continuing the battle against Somerset Sharks official from last week we have both our North West Youth teams competing... against both of Somersets Youth teams. Ulverstone Red will be heading over to Somerset to compete against Somerset Blue at 9am and are looking to get their first points of the season. At home Ulverstone Black will take on the ladder leaders Somerset White at 8:30am and are looking to be the first of the teams playing at home to come off the pitch with the win. In the first of the game against Launceston United SC we have the Reserves kicking off at 10am. The Reserves are still looking for their first win of the season and if they can maintain the form they have been showing in the first half of their last couple they should be able to come away with the points easily. Our Under 18s kick off at 10am this week, and we have several of the under 16s stepping up to make their debut in the under 18s and with this injection of new players into the team the boys are aiming for a win which would distance themselves from those following close behind on the ladder. The Northern Women kick off at 12pm and will be in for a difficult game this week when they take on the ladder leaders but they are sure to show plenty of the Ulverstone Spirit and provide the visitors with a tough challenge and continue to hunt for that first win of the season. Seniors kick off at 12pm and while Launceston United may be ladder leaders currently they are in a precarious position, as the reds continue to improve as a team and do not look like slowing down at all. A win would see Launceston United drop below Ulverstone on the ladder and then only local rivals Devonport would be able to contest them at the top. Under 16s kick off at 2:15pm and are coming off the back of a close game with the top team and then a bye week, they boys are looking to come out of the gate hard and fast as a win would see them jump to a tied 3rd position on the ladder To finish off the day we have our WSL team kicking off at 2:15pm against Kingborough Lions United Football Club. Our WSl team is once again at home and are hoping to start a push into the top half of a ladder with a win this week. They have continued to pressure those teams above them both at home and away and are looking to start capitalising on that pressure.

10.01.2022 This weekend sees the Might Reds take on their coastal rivals the Devonport Strikers at the Showgrounds. The Reserves kick off at 10am and were able to show great improvement last week and maintained their composure for all 90 minutes, and are looking to continue with this while also creating more opportunities to attack and score. ... The Under 18s kick off at 10am and showed great determination and a never give up attitude when they were able to claw back from a 3 goal deficit early in the first half to go into the half time break at 3 all, and were unlucky to only come away with the draw after a great second half performance as well. The Northern Women kick off at 12pm and are looking to provide a tough game against the ladder leaders as the girls have shown that they are able to score against top teams and should not be taken lightly The Seniors kick off at 12pm and this will be the game all the other Northern Championship teams will be keeping an eye on, as the winner will be on top of the ladder and in a commanding position for the rest of the season. The Under 16s kick off at 2:15 pm and are looking to keep Devonport under them on the ladder and move their way closer to the top. The WSL team kicks off at 2:15 pm against the UTAS Soccer Club and while the girls are still riding the high of their first win last week they are not looking to take their foot off the accelerator and will be looking to send a message to all their Southern counterparts that they are not to be looked down upon

01.01.2022 This weekend sees our Juniors take to the pitch while the rest of the club has a bye week so we encourage our supporters to get along and support them if they are able. Friday Night our Junior Girls have back to back games against Devonport Strikers and Burnie United FC at 6:00 pm and 7:15 at Valley Road. Last week the girls suffered their first defeat and will be using that as motivation to improve and continue to dominate their competition.
