25.01.2022 Verdant Dental is an essential healthcare service during #victoria #lockdown. Currently #dental services are operating at Level 1 restrictions, however we have been informed this will move to Level 2 soon. At Level 2 restrictions, we may be rescheduling regular checkup and clean appointments until after lockdown ends.... However, we will still be open for consultations, planned filling replacements, straightforward extractions and of course continuing to seeing emergencies. This includes trauma, lost/broken fillings, chipped teeth, pains and sensitivities, infections and swellings. Mr Jeremy Kearns will be closing the Wednesday denture clinics until mid August. We will be continuing our strict #COVIDsafe procedures, including screening, social distancing, limiting number of people within the clinic and constant disinfection in addition to our usual high infection control standards. You must be 100% healthy in order to be admitted for treatment. Please note we reserve the right to delay or decline treatment depending on Australian Dental Association screening guidance which is constantly being updated. Stay safe everyone! 24.01.2022 As part of our COVIDsafe strategy, we are temperature testing, keeping a limit on numbers within our waiting room, constantly screening contact history, disinfecting and cleaning. Please note that we may need to reschedule your appointment, depending on risk factors decided by the Australian Dental Association which are constantly being updated. If you happen to see a testing station in the area, consider getting tested! It's free, simple and easy, and will help protect you, your family and the community we are all a part of.

21.01.2022 We're reopening on Saturdays! Life is getting better in Victoria - warmer weather, release from home detention, picnics in the park...... and dental appointments on a Saturday! We get it - schools are back, workplaces are re-opening, and we're wondering how did we ever work Mondays to Fridays? Plus, how is it there's only seven weeks until Christmas? ... From November 28, Dr Alpa Lodhiya will be available alternate Saturdays. If there's sufficient demand, Dr Tim Wenas will also be available some Saturdays. 21.01.2022 With school holidays coming next week, some of you will be lucky enough to meet Dr Alison Cheah - our new dentist who is available every Monday at Verdant Dental! With the recent increase in COVID19 cases in the Western area, we are continuing our screening efforts. We are contacting all our patients by phone to check recent activity and potential contacts. Please note, we may have to reschedule your appointment if you've had close contact to any school/workplace with recent ...COVID19 case, or close contact to any person testing/confirmed with COVID19 or general illness. As you can appreciate, we are doing whatever we can to be #covidsafe. Of course, we are maintaining our high standards of infection control with ongoing disinfection, sterilisation, and barrier controls for all our work. In addition, our front door is locked so we can continue ongoing screening and maintain a #covidsafe number of people in our waiting room. Please wait outside and we will come to you! 20.01.2022 As dentists, it's pretty hard to work from home! But our extended team (including our sister clinic Elation Dental in Croydon South, plus Western Special Needs Dentistry) get together online for our team meetings and discussions! From Monday April 27, there is a slight relaxation on dental treatment restrictions! For the last month, we've instructed all staff to #stayhome, with our dentists continuing to support the community by seeing emergencies, toothaches, pains & infecti...ons. We are planning a slow return to the clinic. We will be able to do some routine dental work and will be contacting our wonderful patients individually to check on your wellbeing, and to see whether your dental care can be continued at this time. 19.01.2022 Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2021 let's face it, we're all glad to be rid of 2020! We'll be open from Monday January 4th; with most appointments available from Monday January 11th. 18.01.2022 We've been only seeing emergencies for the last few months - but now we are able to see patients for regular treatment! Part of our COVIDsafe plan is for strict screening of all patients, including checking you're feeling 100% without any symptoms, temperature tests, signing in at reception and a few other things. You'll probably find all other businesses are required to take the same precautions in order to ensure everyone's health. 12.01.2022 Thank you everyone for tolerating #lockdown - the end is in sight! We've been given updated information about easing of dental operating restrictions. From next Monday 28th September, we'll be at Level 2 restrictions, which means we can do Regular checkups and consultations (but not cleaning - read below for more details!) Routine Fillings (majority requiring rubber dam, depending on what tools are needed)... This is in addition to the emergency and urgent work we have always been doing during lockdown to treat toothaches, pains and infections. We are always here to support our patients and care for the community. If you're wanting to return to us for your cleaning - good news! We should be able to see you from Monday October 26 for tooth cleaning and all other regular operations! 07.01.2022 Guess what - we're getting the team back together! Today, Tanina, Cherie and Dr Christina Romanella are in attendance at Verdant Dental. We were informed on the weekend that Level 1 restrictions are in place - what does that actually mean? Regular dental treatment and denture clinic is now available - providing you're 100% healthy (no coughs, runny nose, sore throat, temperature, sneezing etc), and have no travel history (planes/cruise ships) and no contact with anyone suspe...cted or undergoing testing for COVID19. Please allow us extra time for phone and verbal medical screening of every single person who walks in. We do reserve the right to with-hold access if you show even a slight sign of illness - this is for your safety and ours. At the moment we are taking a slow and cautious approach to reopening. We already had excellent hygiene and infection control, which is being further upgraded with plastic barriers and social distancing. 04.01.2022 Hey, we're on lockdown, so I'll admit to one secret craving right now - salted potato chips, with regular chocolate M&Ms. Sweet and salty; but definitely not good for your health or your teeth! It's fine every now and then to indulge yourself - it's the little luxuries that you can enjoy. Of course, it needs to be in moderation too. So if you're going to try my secret recipe as above, follow Tim's tips for night time cleaning - floss all your teeth (but don't try to "saw" th...rough your gums, just gently slide it up and down the teeth only), brush your teeth gently up/down with toothpaste for 2 minutes - and the real secret is to spit out the toothpaste, but try to resist rinsing your mouth out! If you leave a very thin coating of toothpaste on your teeth after brushing, it helps strengthen your tooth enamel very effectively! Aaaaaaaaaand in case that didn't work, or you had too many easter eggs last weekened, we're still open for emergencies only. Got a problem? 01.01.2022 Verdant Dental will be closed today Friday 23rd October (Grand Final Eve), reopening Monday October 26! 01.01.2022 Christmas Update 2020! (note - this photo was taken Christmas 2019, pre social distancing rules!) Verdant Dental will be closed between December 24-January 3rd. What a year it’s been! Thank you, our fellow Victorians, for treating each other with kindness and patience, during the most incredible, demanding and strangest year of our lives.... Our last opening day for 2020 will be Wednesday December 23rd. We have extremely limited capacity for emergency appointments for the remaining days. Call us on 9379 3736 for emergencies only. Dr Helen Marchant will also have her final operating day for Western Special Needs Dentistry on 23/12/2020. Verdant Dental will reopen on Monday January 4 2021. We will have most days available to look after our wonderful, loyal patients. Dr Tim Wenas, Dr Alpa Lodhiya, and Dr Alison Cheah will be available from January 2021. Dr Christina Romanella will be taking January 2021 off, returning February 2021 Mr Jeremy Kearns will take the first half of January off, most likely returning Wednesday January 20th. We wil update when this is confirmed. Also, Dr Alison (Aliey) Cheah has joined our professional team! Aliey commenced sessions at Verdant Dental a few months ago, and we are glad she is now able to offer us more consulting days! Aliey is a wonderfully cheerful and friendly dentist. You’ll have your treatment options fully and easily explained to you, and of course feel free to ask any and all questions you may have! Aliey will be available Mondays and Wednesdays.
