25.01.2022 I can't believe it's come to this, but I am posting cat videos. However, the ability for this cat to keep its head still while its body is being violently rocked side to side, is due to its reflexes associated with its Vestibular System. More specifically, its cervicocollic reflex (CCR). This reflex is one of the 6 that are linked to the inner ear vestibular system which is where our movement and gravitational sensors are. The Vestibular System is what gives us orientation... in space. This particular reflex, the CCR, gives cats, gymnasts, aerial skiers, divers and the average person the ability to keep their head still while their body is moving. It is my intention and hope for this page to be able to educate people about Vertigo and the balance systems in our body, as well as the most likely mechanism behind migraines and headaches. And what can be done to successfully manage them. It is a complex system with many links to other complex systems in our body. I will try to keep posts short and simple, but at times I will add links to videos and research articles for those who wish to read in more depth.
