20.01.2022 There were 2420 family violence incidents recorded in the City of Ballarat in the year ending March 2021, compared to 1706 the previous year. That is an increase of 41 per cent. The number of incidents also increased slightly in Moorabool Shire (from 463 to 493), and Golden Plains (133 to 191). The number of incidents recorded in Hepburn dropped slightly (189 to 156), as well as in Pyrenees (101 to 99).

01.01.2022 WRISC is recruiting - new position - Program Manager WRISC is seeking the services of a Program Manager. Hours are 0.7 EFT Ongoing. The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the operational service delivery of WRISC Family Violence Support Inc. The PM is part of the Senior Executive group. The role has 3 direct reports namely the Team Leaders in the Family Violence Outreach Program, The Aboriginal Program and the Van Go Children's Creative Therapy Program. The role requ...ires independent strategic thinking as well as operational motivation in relation to quality improvement within each program. This position enables the opportunity for WRISC to grow within current programs and also to explore opportunities for the growth of other programs. This position works with all programs that provide direct service delivery to clients. Women's Health Grampians and the CoRE Leadership Group have developed a video, with funding from Respect Victoria, to show the gender equitable future we want to see, and how we get there.
