24.01.2022 Congratulations to the 2 Bundy teams that played at Netfest over the weekend. Blazers came in as Runners-up in Division 1 Competition and only went down by 2! The final was a great game to watch And Bundy Bosses had heaps of fun in Division 1 Social, well done ladies Looks like a great time was had by all

22.01.2022 The QLD Suns Men's & Mixed Netball are taking their first steps in establishing their Rising Suns Netball Program. Rising Suns is targeted at Boys aged 12-16 y...ears and will focus on growing, developing and creating more netball pathways for boys. The aim is to establish an annual, all boys netball competition within Brisbane and across Queensland. The QLD Suns are seeking Expressions of Interest from boys: * 12 to 16 years of age; * Wanting to continue playing netball; or * Wanting to learn this exciting, fast and skilful game. 13.01.2022 A friendly reminder that nominations to trial for the USC Netball Academy, Emerging Athlete Program for 2021 are due by Monday 11th January! The USC Netball Aca...demy Emerging Athlete Program (EAP), run by the University of the Sunshine Coast aims to seek out gifted athletes from Netball and other sporting backgrounds to provide an invaluable pathway, learning opportunity and access to elite player training programs. The program will be the underpinning program for the USC Thunder with a future focus towards representing the Sunshine Coast Lightning and aligned representative teams, and will provide talented athletes the opportunity to attend a 12 month training program developing key attributes and skills necessary to make it to the top of netball Athletes wishing to register to trial for the USC Netball Academy, must be a player with a Member Association. The USC Academy selectors will view individual athletes across the USC Thunder Trial process or the stand alone EAP selections to ease athlete selection process. A. Athletes wishing to trial for USC Thunder Teams and USC Netball Academy EAP program: Academy and Thunder Pre-screening Any athlete who has never played ruby or sapphire (or any state league equivalent ) before must register and attend our prescreening selections. 12.01.2022 One of Australian netball’s favourite daughters has called time on her career, and it is only fitting we reflect upon and acknowledge her immense contribution t...o our sport During her time with the Queensland Firebirds, Nat Medhurst established herself as the premier Goal Attack in the game with a list of achievements including: - 2011 ANZ Championship Premiership - 2011 ANZ Championship Most Valuable Player - 2011 Queensland Sportswoman of the year - 2011 Netball World Cup Winner - 2011 Netball World Cup Most Valuable Player - 2012 Queensland Firebirds Vice Captain - 2012 Queensland Firebirds Most Valuable Player - First Australian to play 100 ANZ Championship matches And that was all within her 4 years in the Purple dress. It’s remarkable to think she had another 13 years of elite netball, at both a national and international level, around her time in Queensland. Perhaps her greatest achievement though is the legacy she leaves and the next generation of shooters she has inspired! Few have left a greater mark on our game than the one they call ‘Bunga’.
