22.01.2022 Honki Tonk Surf Designs, from right here in Albany, shaped by Alan "Barney" Tonkinson (R.I.P.) .... picked up from the tip shop covered in paint. A lot of sanding revealed some hidden beauty.... & some serious scars. Would love to see more Honki Tonk boards, or locally made Eclipse boards also by B.T. if anyone has 1 :)

16.01.2022 Big news: following surfing events around Australia and the Margaret River Pro, the world's best surfers will head to Rottnest to compete in a one-off World S...urf League Event. It will be held at Strickland Bay from 16 to 26 May, and while it will be closed to spectators, it'll be a fantastic showcase for Rotto, and its surf. It'll mean national and international exposure for our unique island destination, and continue to build our case as a world-class surfing State.

16.01.2022 Please keep your eyes open for a friend of A.M.o.S. Thanks.

10.01.2022 Tuesday’s pulsing groundswell combined with all day offshore conditions & provided nothing but highlights around this particular part of the WA coastline. An al...l star cast was out there navigating heavy drops & heaving pits! : @ben.harney #FlashbackFriday #FBF #WesternAustralia #WA #WestOz #ThisIsWA #Yalls #WestIsBest #WAsurfers #SurfingWA @ Western Australia See more

01.01.2022 The first Aboriginal surfboard rider in the South West! Andrea Campbell wanted to share this newspaper article about her Dad! The Busselton Margaret Times repo...rted on 24 October 1968 that Busselton could have scored yet another first in sport - this time surfboard riding. The paper reported: "According to a WA Surfboard Riders' Association official who visited Busselton recenty, it seems likely this district has the first Aboriginal surfboard rider in the South West - possibly WA. He is 3rd year high school student Bill Webb (16) son of Mr and Mrs G Webb of Kealy, who has been a surfing enthusiast for about 4 months. Bill, together with his 2 schoolmates, Wayne Evans and Brian Gannaway, surf every chance they get. The lads rely on relatives or friends to transport them, but most weekends this winter they have managed to get to their favourite surfing spot - Rocky Point, near Eagle Bay. The boys are self supporting in providing surfing equipment. They earned money for their boards and wet suits picking up potatoes last season. Soon they will be carting hay in their spare time to earn money for new boards. The 3 enthusiasts did not learn to surf in the big rollers at Rocky Point. They wisely chose the gentler waters of Quindalup until they were proficient enough to tackle the more exhilarating waves." Credit: Busselton Margaret Times Newspaper.
